I wonder how those people who wanted E3 dead feel now. It was the best gaming time of the year and ever since ALL of these events sucked and were just a disappointment, one by one, no matter who did it.I miss E3. Being a "hardcore" videogame fan these days sucks.
This is actually what I hope to see and maybe some announcement regarding ARC Raiders.Considering how close Keighley and Sam Lake are, at the minimum I'm hoping for a trailer and/or release date for Alan Wake 2's first-of-two DLC episodes.
Without E3 the only things that left was rumors from "insiders". And yeah, those type of people have always existed, but now they have more "power" than never. There's no more hype or excitiment in this industry.I wonder how those people who wanted E3 dead feel now. It was the best gaming time of the year and ever since ALL of these events sucked and were just a disappointment, one by one, no matter who did it.
Don't give Geoff a hard time, he's working his ass off. Remember a couple of years ago when Neil Druckman was there and we got to see exclusive artwork for a cancelled game? That was nifty, right?
geoff: 'not really worth it...'LOL. He normally hypes the shit out of 5/10 shows, so this one is going to blow ass, confirmed.
Personally I'd like actual information on games rather than just a constant stream of live action or CGI cinematics of a game that is 4-6 years away. Call me old-fashioned. Announced a lot of stuff at TGAs? Cool. Maybe show me some actual gameplay from some of those, now.So, no reason to watch. Thanks Geoff. I won't
Went from being extremely excited to extremely disappointed. Guess I'll have to skip it , its not PvE anymore but forced PvP extraction shooter...yawn
Summer Games Fest is basically of the people, for the people,by the people....Yet it is here, and E3 is dead. The market has spoken.
That was always the case. Just wake up the next day and watch the most interesting trailers filtered by the community. So, no reason to watch. Thanks Geoff. I won't
If he overhyped, I'd blame the companies for not having anything I want to watch, not Geoff himself. It's nice to feel like at least the person presenting is excited. So we hate him when he "overhypes" and also hate him when he's being candid and managing expectations...
Yeah, I partially agree. I don't really care for CGI trailers, or teasers that means nothing, or a presentation of a game sequel logo. I prefer to watch actual gameplay.I don't know what everyone in this thread is going on about. Announcements generally suck. There's almost always no gameplay and usually there's barely any details. Give me the first gameplay seen of already announced titles over that nonsense any day.
If devs have nothing to show then it wouldn’t make much difference if there was E3 or not…..at end of the day its the games we get excited about, not the actual show itself.I wonder how those people who wanted E3 dead feel now. It was the best gaming time of the year and ever since ALL of these events sucked and were just a disappointment, one by one, no matter who did it.
PvE games are a dime a dozen. There's been like 10 Extraction Shooters in history which makes it a much more thrilling new genre. Change your attitude, Son.Went from being extremely excited to extremely disappointed. Guess I'll have to skip it , its not PvE anymore but forced PvP extraction shooter...yawn
There’s some truth in it, but this “forced“ them to show what they had under their sleeves. With the second part I disagree, although those last ones were not the best E3s ever but they were still infinitely better than what we got after. The industry is just going downhill ever since 2020 in every sense. If devs have nothing to show then it wouldn’t make much difference if there was E3 or not…..at end of the day its the games we get excited about, not the actual show itself.
Even before Covid the last couple of E3’s were pretty boring to watch for the very reason.
Forcing them to show something when they have nothing to show is not exactly a good idea. There’s some truth in it, but this “forced“ them to show what they had under their sleeves. That's what happens without crunch. There’s some truth in it, but this “forced“ them to show what they had under their sleeves.
