Dunkirk - Review thread

Total Film (GamesRadar):

Hoyte Van Hoytema’s beautiful, terrifying lensing – dizzying dogfights, suffocating sinkings and a cinematography-award moment when a Spitfire lands on sun-gilted sand – ensure that what could have been complicated and depressing is rendered with clarity. Thoroughly modern in its approach, yet classical in style, it’s a film that will appeal as much to Batman fans as WW2 scholars, and ultimately, the Academy come gong time.

5/5

In for IMAX DAY ONE.

You know, looking back, it just dawned on me it's crazy how he hasn't received any nods yet at the Oscars.
Don't forget that The Dark Knight not getting nominated for Best Picture is also the reason why we have the current best picture nominee system.

Nolan did it again! Not suprised though. interstellar wasn't received as well as his other work so this seems like a return to form of sorts.

Please Sir Nolan, come back to CBM someday!

Some pretty good reviews, I look forward to seeing it even though no IMAX option for me.

I would like to personally thank the OP for NOT putting the RT % in the thread title.

[edit]

Okay the RT percentage is finally showing up for me. Updated the OP
