I got laughed on when i told a guy on Facebook he should have bought a PC instead of a PS5 pro for the same price, i argued saying there was literally no point in having a PS5 anymore because all games are on PC and they all told me 'lol liar they come to pc after a year.

It isn't like this is the first time we have seen account suicides on here. There have been several occasions where there was mass exodus.

Yet, GAF still endures.

I try to stay mostly light hearted, but on a serious note. We all feel the stress in the air around the world. It feels like we are just now starting to approach the massive disruption that the pandemic did to trade, and supply chains.

And in all honesty, it feels like people are cooked. They feel tapped out by surging prices, inflation and price gouging in some instances.

The account suicides and outbursts on social media feel like a reaction to this.

I for one think this guy gonna be back by 2027 latest, maybe under different nickname or maybe he will try to beg evillore to give him his old account back, like so many previously did :P
I mean microsoft's new console(?) supposedly launching in 2027, u guys think he will not get hyped and wont wanna post about it anywhere? Where will he go, to era? :D
 
So the guy was an xbox/nintendo fanboy. odd mix.

i rolled my eyes at his WHAT WILL SONY DO thread because i wasnt aware of his posting history, but this makes a lot more sense now.

Sony fans give Herman and Jimbo more shit than any nintendo or MS exec ever received from their own fanbase. yes, we have our rikys and they get banned. I see it all the time. But the vast majority are always ready to shit all over Herman's dumb face. especially recently when literally every single one of his moves has backfired on him.

You have to be living under a rock to not see that level of derision from sony's own fanbase. But sadly a lot of these fanboys live in their bubbles on discord, in OTs, and are fed the same propaganda i see on twitter in political and social circles. today I noticed 'Whites' was trending on twitter. Brain rot is what this is.

I've never owned an xbox whereas I grew up playing all the ps games so I thought it would be awesome to go back and play all the old titles I missed growing up

while it does feel a bit surreal that the gen I purchased is possibly the last xbox as we know it, zero regrets due to its BC and I have very little invested in the eco system. playing older xbox titles over COVID was worth the purchase alone.

having said that, I've seen some guys post here that they purchased thousands of digital games on their xbox. I don't even want to do the math on that, but I would imagine a lot of the response might just be more related to that. if I had a small fortune invested in a video game eco system, future uncertainty would be a bit terrifying

I don't think for some it is as easy as just buying a ps6 next gen. if I paid for literally thousands of games and heard that xbox was going to die, I would probably feel sick

What you have said is completely spot on. Much like you I only got an xbox this gen after taking a break from last gen and having PS before. Even though my investment isn't anywhere near as early adopters it is still my console of choice and in my experience a better bang for you buck and has better games.

That being said as soon as I heard Phil saying "We lost the console war" I stopped buying any games on the platform. I only play what I already boght and play on Gamepass/PCGP because I know getting too invested is futile now that xbox is going 3rd party.
