I got this in the latest E-Seals Newsletter. At the bottem of the email it states:

NEW ONLINE GAME UPDATES IN THE WORKS
Zipper Interactive and SCEA are currently in the process of working on additional online updates. We will have more information on this development in our August newsletters.


At least we know its still coming.

I wonder if Zipper is aware of how poorly SCEE staff is managing European SOCOM II servers. It's cheating/disconnections/curious bugs/terrible lag galore over here.

Not if you want to use it to install the existing or upcoming games the 'regular' way. Not that I have a clue what upcoming games will support that, but then again, there definitely will be some.

Two scenario's I see:

-Zipper will out of the blue release the downloadable content like they did with the Mar patch and suprise everyone.

-Zipper will wait until like Nov(SOCOM II's release date last year) and announce the 256MB downloadable content.

I would think they would only open seperate rooms for the expansion pack. I don't think a new server is necessary.
