Doubt it. I have no doubt Porto would love to have him back but I don´t see AVB wanting to return right now. He is ambitious and is desperate to achieve success, he doesn´t want to be marked as the manager who only did well at Porto.

Not to mention I don't think they'd be willing to pay his salary requirements at this point in time. There is still 1+ seasons left on his Spurs deal and I imagine the reported pay-out was not in a lump sum but probably contingent on a few things such as staying out of coaching through the remainder of his contract. Porto probably COULD pay him a big salary, but they don't want to set the precedent I'm sure. None of the Portuguese clubs make much in the way of profit which I imagine is largely due to their paltry domestic TV deal.

I know they're bringing up their Porto B manager for the remainder of the season. I wonder if they'll make a run at Estoril's manager this summer or if the failure of Fonseca will scare them off. He had Pacos de Ferreira playing at a level they probably should not have achieved last season and that's why Porto hired him.

That's why I don't think Porto should. I am just not sure if managers coming from lower teams are good enough, there is a big gap between the top teams and the rest, it's a big leap for a manager and clearly Fonseca couldn't handle the players; but I guess that depends on the personality of the manager too.

I don't think managers would be scared off, the money is enticing enough.

I think winning the CL title guarantees CL football as well.

And even if we don't, we can't finish worse than all three of Schlacke, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg. It's just not possible.

And we would finish in front of them with Schieber as well. Schieber.

We are alive.

DAMMIT. Fiine, you win Milch. :(

Where's Prince Poldi bring him
I have a crippling fear of failure and it's holding me back in almost every aspect of my life.

Help.
I would rather fail one billion times than live a life filled with regrets ;) I just go for whatever the fuck I'm afraid to fail at instead of watching it pass by.

Does that make sense? I don't know.

What Benfica plays Jesus is not to far from what AVB got at Spurs so Porto paying a big salary to AVB isn't impossible. Marco Silva is a better manager than Fonseca. Everyone said that Estoril were doomed this season when they sold 4 or 5 of their best players and here they are again on the European places and only 4 points behind Porto. Luis Castro will have a nightmare of a job. In the next 4 weeks they are playing against Sporting in Lisbon for the League, twice with Napoli for the EL and twice with Benfica for the cup.

Fair enough. He's probably got more than enough money by now too.

Milan-brahs, what the fuck is going on with El Shaarawy?

Went somewhere, Belgium or something, to meet his doctor a week or two ago, doctor said everything was going just fine with his recovery. He'll meet him again in a week or two, then he'll probably start training with the team regularly.

Balotelli + El Shaa + Rossi were supposed to tear it up in Brazil. :(

Fuck injuries.

United supposedly interested in Danilo and Alex Sandro. Two of my prized possessions in FM! :( Obviously Porto won't sell all of their defenders, but it's interesting to see so many linked with moves away. Otamendi to Valencia in the summer is already confirmed.

I actually didn't realize he was loaned out to Atletico Mineiro -- I thought he'd be staying at Porto until the end of the year when I saw that he'd join Valencia in the summer. Who are Porto playing with Mangala then? Maicon? Or did Diego Reyes get moved back to CB like he's been playing for the Mexican NT? I know they also have Ba but I thought he was out on loan.

Pretty much. I'm not even expecting a 2006 Totti-like miracle, at this point it'll be really hard for El Shaa to make it. Rossi still has a few chances.

I'm hoping for a 2018 final, the 12 years rule never fails.

Well let me give you backstory

One of our lecturers is an ex BBC journalist who is so full of himself and he thinks he's fucking great, and he's the only lecturer who sets homework that isn't just reading, he actually makes you do homework

Today he was going on and on about how important it is we are all there for every single workshop, so presumably he doesn't want us to miss any of the work

And then he said "did you guys do the homework i set you last week?" And 6 of 15 had. Instead of just getting on with the lesson and the people that hadn't done it being out of the loop and having to catch up on their own time, he was moaning and moaning about how frustrating it is that his lesson plan is in disarray now

And one student said "just carry on anyway" and he refused, I said "just read it to us now" and no word of a lie he told me to fuck off

Then he said "you might as well not be listening to me" and I said, assuming in the spirit of telling me to fuck off we may well be joking, "we don't do that anyway"

He said "do you want to leave this classroom?" And I said "no", ten he said "anyone who hasn't done the homework leave this classroom", pointed at me

So I just got up and chuckled and left because I'm not gonna waste my time with him, my mate also got up to leave and he started going "think of all the money you're spending and you're not doing the homework", none of it which counts towards the final grade

You're getting paid to teach me you fucking cunt, not cry when someone doesn't do homework

Then he emailed my friend earlier apologising and said would like to meet to repair things and make sure she hasn't missed out, he didn't want her to leave but was shocked by my comments looooool

And he looks like Woodward but fucking GINGER

you fucking baby

I haven't done homework since about year eight. It's just extra work, I've already learnt the shit, I'm not doing anything at home that doesn't benefit my final grade.

Congrats Killer!

Just looking at some of the Championship loss figures.

Nottingham Forest lost £17m. Leicester a "dramatically improving" £34m. This for second division football trying to chase the Premier League. God knows what QPR's will be.

By comparison our losses were £4m down from £5m the year before. No wonder we can't compete at the top end of the league.

Yurt, I enjoyed Broken Age very much, although it certainly isn't Wilbur's dad best work in the point & click genre. Love the art and the characters, but the puzzles are just too easy. I get where they were coming from. Act I is a great introduction to graphic adventures for people who never played one and have no idea what to expect, otherwise it's pretty much a cakewalk. Hopefully Act II will be a tad more complex!

It's nice to want things.

I'm wondering if the sanctions shouldn't be stronger. From what I'm reading it seems only a transfer embargo is in place as the main deterrent.. Unless clubs get promoted and then have to pay a fair play tax, which seems like it could be hefty based on the size of debt but will probably be negated by all the money they receive being in the PL.

Portuguese press is reporting that Marco Silva, Estoril's manager, will be announced on Monday as the new Porto manager. Not sure how much of that is true, I can see him accepting the job for next season but it's a bit silly for him to go there now. The team is in shambles, they have a terrible schedule in the next weeks and they are extremely close to finishing the league behind Benfica and Sporting, something that never happened since Pinto De Costa became their president.
