I never said that they were amazing football players.
Although I honestly think that Kevin Großkreutz is one of the most underrated players in current football. People always say he's kinda terrible with the ball, sure, he's no Isco or something, but still good. But then there's his amazing football intelligence. He can easily cover all the positions on the wing both in attack and defense + central midfield and actually play well. I also think he could fill the remaining positions outside the goal (striker and CB) as well. Every club that doesn't shit money and can't fill every position in the squad with at least 2 players would be happy to have him.

Yeah, he is versatile and any club could be happy to have a guy like him. Posolski on the other hand... I have yet to see a good game of him against a decent opposition.

Löw has a weakness for him. I remember him saying that Podolski was there when he counted on him. The question was, why Podolski is nominated in the first place because his performances were underwhelming and why Löw was blocking the way for much more talented wingers. I hope Löw quits after WC. There are too many Löw/Klinsmann instalments inside the whole team.

Probably. Got a granpa and Gomez as striker, two of the best three DMs injured, a fading Özil and problems on the LB and RB positions if Lahm has to play as DM. Should be happy to survive the group.

Podolski is just a few years too young, he'd have been (and actually was) amazing as second striker in a 4-4-2. The problem is that he's just neither a single striker nor a proper winger and his position pretty much ceased at European top clubs. He should go to Juve, he'd fit there.
