It's time for a great wall of text. This is what I have been thinking about a lot lately
-BOTW 2 (most anticipated game for me, i'm still trying to figure out who the main villain(s) will end up potentially being, as well as speculating about the overworld)
-TLOZ 35th Anniversary (very curious to see what Nintendo chooses to celebrate the series w/ Collectors Edition of some sort seems imminent, but how many games? I'm guessing 5 total)
-TLOZ: Link’s Awakening (next Zelda game I'm playing, most excited about this game and the Final Fantasy game I'll choose to play [never played a FF game])
-SSBU
-Luigi’s Mansion 3 (currently playing)
-BOTW (think I have 210 hrs played, 86 shrines about, a dozen or so sidequests still available, playing BOTW is like a form of meditation when you're out exploring. I think a lot about other TLoZ games while playing BOTW as well)
-Final Fantasy (entire series, trying to map out which games to play in what order too)
And I think SSBU sets up the next SSB game, whenever that will be, to be the greatest in the series by a mile. Here is what can be improved upon imo (quick list):
-Better online overall, friend system, messages and communication, actually being able to invite friends to games
-In arenas, you can jump in and out of spectating (currently, if you leave the match as a spectator, you cannot join back to watch the rest of the fight. You are forced to wait until its over
-More characters to select and play as
-Classic mode with better bonus rounds, the rest of Classic mode is great
-A more refined Adventure mode with a story that isn’t completely useless
-More music
-More Mii Brawler, Mii Sword Fighter etc. customization and costumes
-Bring back collectors items like trophies from SSBM that allow us to learn about gaming from the past / oldschool games
-Have a museum where we can view all the trophies / spirits and can read about their history in their respective games
-Maybe offer (probably the last thing to ever happen) a casino in the game where players can gamble their coins and earnings and win/lose or maybe even a have a mini-game lounge that somehow incorporates fighting into said mini-games
-Maybe 10-20 more maps to fight on
-Coins should be more fun to spend in the next game, this ties to spirits or trophies having a better history attached to them some kind of character summary or something, more purchaseable things that relate to the history of the characters, their games, this will in turn make collecting more fun as well
Overall, Super Smash Bros. has become one of the greatest games to celebrate gaming as a whole over the years. Some players are exclusive to Xbox and Playstation but to me Super Smash Bros. will always be a celebration to the greatness of video games just as much as it is a fighting game now. I'm less competitive now and more about enjoying the fights and having fun with others, favorite aspect about this game is seeing others put together a good game with showmanship and sportsmanship, and enjoying the excellent music selection. One last thing, Koji Kondo deserves the Nobel Peace Prize
