Pyra/Mythra are amazing in Smash. They're going to get nerfed.

Played about seven matches earlier and they're good. I used Link and it was difficult to get a win, only won once lol. All the moves they call out are great though, this character is a nice addition to the roster. I don't know how anybody can get a win against her without using a character without projectiles though. Even with them, it's still tough to find an entry versus Pyra/Mythra because she can throw her sword a fair distance and I think with Mythra she is able to send those green projectiles that cover much area as well. I like this character a lot though, despite not knowing herPyra/Mythra are amazing in Smash. They're going to get nerfed.
I checked the eShop recently while I was adding some codes, and saw that the Famicom detective bundle is indeed a full price 60 dollar game. Again; I appreciate them reviving these niche franchises, but at this price they're setting themselves up for disappointment.

You can follow a thread and it will automatically update you in the upper right corner (bell icon) when new posts are made. Best wayt o use the communities, IMO.I was wondering why I couldn’t find this thread.

How does it compare to Octopath Traveller if you played that?Bravely Default II continues to be great. Just reached chapter 2 and already got a taste of how far can they go with some of the character's back stories. Hopefully the game keeps delivering.
I played OT for some time, but never finished it. I did not understand the fighting system in it, so I decided to drop it after finishing all initial stories. BD2 on the other hand grabbed me right from the beginning. If you ask me, I would recommend BD2 10-fold agains OT. Music was great in both, and while stories are nothinh to write home about, at least BD2 is easy and simple to follow. How does it compare to Octopath Traveller if you played that?
So apparently Kakarot is coming to Switch (there is a Switch logo on the latest video) i just finished playing on PS4 and didn't thought it would come to Switch because it was already 30fps and with lots of pre rendered cutscenes, but its gonna be interestinģ, its a very cool game for any DBZ fan![]()

lovely graphics and tons of love for the series shown everywhere.
Thanks! I loved the combat in OT so if the combat in BD2 grabs me even more that would be great!I played OT for some time, but never finished it. I heard a description of the gameplay on ign's NVC podcast and it sounds quite unique. Has any other rpg had a combat mechanic like that where you can use your turns up all at once like a cash advance and have to pay it back if you didn't manage to defeat all the enemies?Bravely Default II continues to be great. At least I have not seen this system before I played Bravely Default on 3DS way back. In the the most basic terms, defaulting is just parry from Dragon Quest, but with an added perk of getting another move later without any consequence. I like also the risk/reward thing, where you can use brave in advance, even if you do not have default points. It is a good system if you ask me.I heard a description of the gameplay on ign's NVC podcast and it sounds quite unique. It feels like you could teach a lesson on what happened with GME stock using BD's combat system lol

Same, I have so much more interest in that than the actual 3D World game. I think it is very unlikely though.I hope they release Bowser's Fury as a standalone title later.

Yeah I think it's not happening. 3D World may actually be the best Mario game ever made. I have no idea how I played through this on Wii U without fully realizing it. The fact that you can get 3D World + Bowser's Fury for $60 is stunning, really. If they split them apart, you can expect to still pay $60 for 3D World and at best $40 (if not $50) for Bowser's Fury.
Valid points. I find the levels in 3d World very compelling though. It's close.I’m looking forward to playing it. But I don’t think anything will top Odyssey, at least for a long while. That game is love and joy in a cart. Not even cats can dethrone that.
What do mean exactly and for what?Earthbound / Mother 1-3
Does anyone understand the legalities that this game faces well enough to provide cliffs?
I guess it was never confirmed but sone fans hypothesized that legal issues prevented the series from being released. But I just looked and apparently there is a game called Earthbound Beginnings available for the Wii U and the SNES Classic has Earthbound also available for purchase. So maybe Nintendo just doesn’t think releasing all three would be lucrative or something? It should have happened on the Switch I would think, I’m wondering why all three games aren’t available on Switch if there are no legal barriers. I read an article the other day on an Earthbound fan website looking for answers and one user was talking about how there was an actual company in Canada who refused to allow Earthbound to be released because there are yo-yos and use the word yo-yo; the user also went on to detail plenty other things that are holding back the release of Earthbound games, but I stopped reading fairly early in the article. The link below will show you, I’ll read it in full probably tmrwWhat do mean exactly and for what?
As far as I'm aware their aren't any legal reasons preventing them from being re-released (Earthbound has already been done 3 times already) the only one that hasn't been re-released/translated would be Mother 3 and that is most likely due to some potentially controversial jokes in the game (woke people would try to to cancel it) nothing stopping them legally from releasing it from what I can tell.
Edit: It seems as though the Yo-yo bit isn't completely false, I'm looking into it now but not gonna edit what I said in my post.I guess it was never confirmed but sone fans hypothesized that legal issues prevented the series from being released. A lot of people seem to be confused about the recent no EarthBound on Virtual Console thing. That, or they don’t understand the full story, so I’m going to try to clarify some things as best as I can here. A lot of people are seeing this page that compares a few EarthBound songs to […]earthboundcentral.com
It's probably because of the Magypsies. I don’t expect much until Summer. I kinda think that’s when Nintendo will decide to show their hand. My guess would be late June or mid July. Like last year, when Paper Mario: The Origami King was revealed out of nowhere and completed; ready to release in only a couple months. Except I think most of the news will be in June probably. That’s my feeling, but who knows really, maybe their developers are still being affected by the pandemic in some way(s)?So... I hear Nintendo has a killer lineup this year. Where is it? Guys it is almost April.

Why wouldn’t the thread survive? All the active members are still subbed. And you’re regarding it as an oasis from the main gaming section BS.
Give it a chance to play out as it is. We can follow up later to see the state of things and whether it needs to be reevaluated. We're here to help.
Sure. Can we follow-up now, after 1 month and having lost most active posters?
I reckon the concerns were valid and I would appreciate if we could have the thread back to the main gaming forum. It’s not a community thread, it’s a Nintendo related gaming BS thread![]()
I'm back.
Still did not finish Breat of the Wild, but damn, this is probably the best game ever. I do not want to finish it.

Welcome back to the gaming section Nintendo gaf
That's one of the most significant side quests in the game, but it's gated by needing to collect a lot of wood. It's been a while since I played BotW, but I remember that part being rather tedious.I've spent over 200 hrs with BOTW and there is a village I still haven't found, apparently...not sure if it's DLC or not (was told by a friend it isn't) but there is a town that Link helps build from the ground up or something like that
