I knew I would encounter these types of messages when I clicked on the Nintendo discussion thread.

Been a hot minute since I've lurked Gaf, not a fan of the ads... but doesn’t seem like much has changed. Might come around more often.

Lately I've been playing F-Zero 99 and getting into playing the other games in the series when I can. Recently played Triangle Strategy (good game), Fire Emblem Engage (really wished I liked it more...) and Batman Arkam Trilogy (Games are good but Arkam Knight port is very crunchy, looks and runs worse out of the 3 but even so I'm having a lot of fun and trying for all side missions)

I want to get Mario vs Donkey Kong and Princess Peach Showtime but I also want to spend time on my backlog. Anyone think those 2 are worth prioritizing or if they are short enough games to knockout in a weekend? or should I just wait until later?

Honestly, GAF is the best place for discussion now. The other two sites seems to devolve into “hive mind” mentality.

As for your two games, I believe there are around 8 hours each.

Shaq my friend, good to see you're doing well! I've been putting the finishing touches on Octopath Traveler 2, I really like most of it, but the plot in the game has deeper holes than Riley Reid. After that I might continue to plug away at my backlog or just wait for glorious TTYD.

MvsDK really didn't grab me and I want to give Princess Peach game a shot because it feels like one I can masturbate to a lot. It's also by Good-Feel, which is a GOATED studio. I'm leaning towards playing Blasphemous 2 instead.

Unicorn Overlord is 25% off right now. I'm playing the demo on the hardest difficulty and having a great time with it. I'll probably pick it up.

TTYD just as good as it was 20 years ago fellas. Buy and make it known to Nintendo that we want more traditional Mario RPGs.
I started it this is my first go around with it, Im looking forward to getting into it.. I just want to finish Persona 3 reload first.. 100 hours in and Im ready for it to be over

NintenGAF are we ready for a switch 2 yet?

Yea, the Switch is pretty old now tech wise. Needs a refresh.

It was basically only as powerful as a decent Android phone back in 2013. Tech has advanced wildly since then. Nintendo could still skimp on production costs and yet come out with a console that is hugely more powerful and capable that they could sell for $300-$400.

I'm surprised nobody's linked the Level 5 'direct' they announced for the 24th. I'm really excited for Layton news, and anything for Decapolice.
Decapolice feels like it's going to end up a poorly-selling cult classic unless they stop messing around and actually advertise.

I want them to finish decapolice before announcing more games. I was really looking forward to that one and we haven’t seen anything in a long time. Also bring Yo Kai watch 4 to the west!

Sadly, I have to put Level 5 games into the "I'll believe it when I see it" category for now.

Nintendo is for kids FIRST. 6-14 yr olds are their prime market. they're the Disney of videogames.

they care about inovation, availability, shared family moments and selling at a profit from day one.

i wouldn't expect simply a stronger Switch. it's going to be different

I definitely expect it to share features, like the portability as that was a big selling point for the Switch. I'm very excited to see what kind of innovation it will have though. I'm afraid it'll be like the Gamecube and not have something super flashy like the Wii or DS.

While I agree that the first party Nintendo games are made for all ages, they do offer pretty much every game one would find on PSN, Xbox Live, or Steam as well.

Huh. I didn't expect there to be more 30-40-year-olds than teenagers. This is pretty interesting. I wonder if the distribution is similar for Sony and MS.

From my teenage days, I didn't watch much TV or play many games. I was out doing teenage stuff. So I am guessing that age group shows up less in statistics because they aren't sitting around playing games and stuff like older people are.

Also not a lot of money, so probably only playing a single game for like three months. I also remember those days.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Ahh my favorite dude kisser, how have you been? Whatchya playing these days

I've been good, man - wild ride these last couple of years. I haven't seen this thread pop up in a while, and surprise surprise - most of the crew is back. I dunno when exactly all that Discord drama began, but that was a mess I'd prefer not to repeat.

Playing Mario vs. Donkey Kong and a random visual novel right now. Mario vs. DK is fun, but that soundtrack has no business being as good as it is. Definitely the highlight.
