I used to work with a guy that drove a garbage truck for the city of Sarasota as his day job. Dude basically furnished his house with nice stuff that people were throwing away.

A huge leather sectional with recliners, surround system with receiver, sub, and speakers, coffee tables, end tables, the list goes on and on.

Can't imagine the amount of disgusting pests and parasites your buddy brought into his home then. If a piece of furniture is outside for a day, it's essentially a nest, and electronics quickly become roach and spider fests. I see a lot of people around here just putting the furniture out front with a free sign, I feel so bad for the poor sucker who grabs that stuff. Costs 900 bucks minimum for bed bug treatment for a home, and that's for a small home. The amount you save on the furniture will quickly be lost on pest treatment.

Well I threw my 2080ti in the bin last year…not a fan of keeping things for no reason

What about selling them or giving them away, you know giving them a second life and making someone else happy?

My cousin is a garbage truck driver and has been for the last 10 years or so. The amount of quality he finds has been amazing! Someone had thrown out a boxed Mega Drive with one of the Sonic games that came packed in, and all of it was in perfect working condition! Why people do this is beyond me.
