I'm so tired of seeing tats at this point, there was a time where they were legit cool or somewhat edgy - now its like every spaghetti armed guy and his mother has em and everyone looks like branded lemmings.
You can go to just about any trendy hood in a major city and everyone looks like they all got drafted - tats, clothes, hairstyle. It's so tired already.

I've never dated someone with tattoos before but it's not a turn off for me. thou I think there's probably a limit of how much of it you have on you before it's too much for me I guess. I'm fine with full sleeves and maybe some body tattoos, but I'm not sure about face ones. I suppose if it's done tastefully or if it's just a small one at the corner of your eye or what not, it can be good. but for the most part, the face tattoos I've seen so far had not look attractive to me. it's their body thou, so who am I to judge?

side note, I once saw a thumbnail on a porn site of someone with an Alien Facehugger tattooed right between her legs and the Facehugger's mouth where you can imagine it be. that was definitely one of those "alright, enough Internet for today." moment.

I almost categorically dislike tatoos in general (too), so that would be a no for me. The only times tatoos have ever worked for me is when they're extremely well-considered and match exceedingly well with the person's clothing, general appearance, and personality. Literally the only example I can think of off the top of my head is Shanoa from Order of Ecclesia, and she's not even a real person. I've seen others but none are coming to me.

For tats in general...some tattoos are absolute works of art and on a good body can really work in tandem, other times (read: most) they're absolutely crap. I think the key is high quality work/ink and art that flows with the lines, curves and striations of the body. Breaking up a woman's curves and lines is why I think a lot of stuff doesn't work and can lessen femininity beyond just the subject of the tattoos themselves.

Face tattoos aren't really my thing, but if everything else is on point I'm not gonna throw the babe out with the bathwater. The red flag with them is when you haven't got your life together in any way and get one then expect to get a job; it's just representative of bad reasoning. Reality is, it's different if you have a good foundation and don't have to worry so much about that side of things.

Post Malone can cover his face in tats and no one cares, he's self-reliant and in an industry where no one will bat an eyelid. Eugene who's just out of college and starting out in finance, not so much...

As with anything, case by case, if I like the girl in front of me that's pretty much all I care about.

The one tattoo type I really don't like is the chintzy sayings and platitudes.

All I'm reading from most of these comments is that we have a lot of un experienced adults (in many aspects of life).

I'm 41, heavily tattooed and so is my wife. Neither of us have face tattoos, but if my wife did when we met seventeen plus years ago, I would've found it alluring.

There is a right way to have a face tattoo designed to work with your face and then there is a wrong way. The wrong way is on a lot of people, bad designs that don't work with the face shape (like randomly slapping a sticker on something and you notice afterwards the placement is way off).

A lot can be said here, like you shouldn't be tattooing your face till at least you have 3/4 of your body tattooed.

What you're seeing now and days is kids being influenced by urban ghetto culture that go for tattoos in visible areas for their first tattoos. These hood tattoos are also terribly done, so when you slap it on a face or hands, it just looks like shit.

Biggest thing about a face tattoo, is it might read wrong or sound off since it's your face, but subtle tattoos, that work with that persons face. Something small on the side or along the hairline.

Tattoos have always been the "Poor Mans Jewelry", they aren't for everyone, but since they've become so popular over the last twenty years, almost everyone has them. The younger generation is starting to not be interested in them due to their popularity and not getting them since it's more mainstream.

Personally, I’d just want to get her naked to see the extent of the artwork, not to bang. She’s just not my type and I don’t really find her all that attractive; those tattoos are the least of my concerns.

Tattoos, even face ones, don’t bother me as long as they look decent. I have a couple myself but not silly enough to get them on my face. The problem is most face tattoos just look stupid.
