Half of Assassins Creed Shadows Devs have never built a game before

i mean developers have to learn their trade experience somewhere and where better than to start at the bottom and work up.

This really aint a bad thing. Its not them ruining the game anyway aside from maybe performance issues. The management and directors are to blame as well as the ceo for the poor choice in protagonist and writting.

These games are made by thousands of people, if half of them have zero experience that’s a quality control nightmare.

I don’t even know how you train, coach and manage such a huge inexperienced workforce. Insane situation for such a massive and experienced studio.

I don't care if games are made with new people, all i care about is the game itself. If i am not enjoying it i will simple not buy the next one anymore.

Nah, its standard. Great games have been made by inexperienced devs led by experienced people. Theres not an unlimited amount of experienced developers out there and its a shitty thing to blame them. If they make mistakes they learn from mistakes and become better. People arent born experenced. You could argue that a high profile franchise would require experience but eh.

That got to be true for nearly all studios or not, project nears completion -> lay off half the workers because they now have experience and are too expensive -> next project, hire fresh blood on the downlow for cheap -> repeat, just like all big corpo's around the world.

this is a game will go head to head with monster hunter in febuary release? good luck
It's gonna do fine most probably, valhalla was a trash ass game (that looked worse than shadows from the trailers) and sold more than any other ac game in history, ac japan with ninja and samurai has been asked by the fans since forever, the yousucke stuff is not gonna be enough to keep people away.

Yeah, it looks like it from what we have seen so far, it's sadly become normal practice in the games industry, which is why the games are not as good or selling as they were in the past!.

Doesn't mean shit. I bet 50+ percent of devs at Grinding Gears Games has never worked on a finished game. Seeing how it's been in development for at least 6 years and their team has gotten a lot larger than their early days, those noobs still have some experience and it's not like the vets who worked on PoE 1 aren't highly capable. How many college graduates under 30 have made and finished a game these days? They take so long to make, I'd bet maybe half of them. People just want to freak out about everything these days. I don't know how some would manage going a day without some triggering headline where people can be negative all over again.

That explains why the game looks as bland and uninspired as you can get. Woke-ified garbage made by DEI hires desperate for those ESG brownie points.
That's mostly due to bad game directors not just developers. They have so many teams split up that none of it is actualy put together into one cohesive good to play from start to finsih game
