I'm still curious how the blending and unique MP situation is going to be handled.

If they're exclusive, all you really need to do is FFA (8 players), 4v4 Team Slayer, 4v4 Objectives (Flag variations, Assault, Plots, Oddball, King), and Big Team (Slayer, Obj mix / 16 players).

Re-watching, I do notice this. At least the medals aren't splashed across the screen. Perhaps these are just in the "Anny" maps?

Hmmm.. I doubt it. All the maps are going to get retouched right? The "Anniversary" maps are the ones that will have a different layout? Hard to say.

Anything that annoys Halo's MLG community is all right by me. The bugs might spark a bit of nostalgia in the short term, but long term they will become a pain in the ass yet again, especially if you want to play anything other than slayer matches.

I can appreciate it's not an easy decision as Stinkles has said, but it's a different world compared to when Halo 2 was originally released and I can't see myself playing a competitive game for long where bugs are constantly used against me when I could be playing something else.

I'll still get it for the 60fps campaigns but lack of bug fixes has reduced my enthusiasm for the multiplayer mode, which is a shame.

Don't be a rube, there was no abuse to be had in those specific glitches you mentioned. They are no different than a combo being pulled off, except you have a way more strict context where those instances can be pulled off.

4 games, updated both in graphics and to 1080p60fps, simply amazing, this will get me to but an Xbox One.

Edit: wait is it only Halo 2 that is a 1080p60 remake?

I want to know if the dedicated servers will also benefit the coop campaings. Halo coop always suffered from some big lag issues.

I was just wondering the same. P2P lockstep for co-op campaign is not much fun. Would be dreamy if they moved this to dedis as well.

If i had an Xbox one this would be something i'd pick up, but i'm not buying a Xbone just for this. Still nice release

Some of these MP achievements were so silly.
I'd rather they went the Anniversary route and put in campaign challenges instead, these were fun.

MP achievements shouldn't be map/weapon specific as these tend to ruin the game, creating incentives for dumb behavior. If there have to be MP achievements, let them be to reward commitment only.

My only concern with so many maps and game types available at one time is that the online population may become spread too thin, resulting in difficulty finding certain game types due to insufficient player count...

They said all games will be running on their original engine, didn't they?

Does that mean that Halo 1 will finally have proper MP instead of it being based off of the Reach engine like it was in Anniversary?

Please tell me that I can have my Halo 1 pistol back and not the blasphemous mess that was the H:CE Anniversary

So, what multiplayer are the 100 maps playable on? Is it just the Halo 2 remastered, each map's respective game release, or any multiplayer you want?

This is simply unbelievable news. Having all the Halo games and 100+ multiplayer maps is like a dream come true. There really isnt even any need to have anymore Halo games after this monster. Best game collection package ever?

I wonder how the multiplayer is going to work. Will each game have their own separate multiplayer? Or will it be one big playlist that includes all of the maps - so it would essentially switch from game to game from map to map. Its going to be interesting.

I hope we get a separate Capture the Flag only playlist - I dont want CTF lumped together with other objective modes and have to wait for the CTF mode to show up.

In case everyone didn't see it, the E3 demo will not be in the collection

What about now-legendary extras, such as Halo 2’s infamous E3 2003 campaign demo mission that never made it into the final game? Might that be completed by 343 and included as bonus content with this release? O’Connor replied that this was in fact something 343 looked into early on, but found that the remaining code is “so broken that…if [Bungie’s Joe Staten, who was demoing the game at E3 that year] deviated a couple pixels in that Warthog run… it just breaks.” He added: “And the other part is that it’s demonstrating a bunch of stuff that isn’t actually in the game, like the way turrets work and the way dual wielding works. But it’s not completely out of the question for the future.”

I have to be honest .. this collection might sway me to get an Xbox One. It's not going to be the multi-platform titles but the exclusive content like this collection set. This coupled with Apps being decoupled from XBL, Microsoft has made HUGE strides!

OMG, imagine being able to launch matchmaking and going into any map in any game

talk about variety!~

hope its all unified in GUI and seamless with options to toggle which games you want to play in Matchmaking.

I just dont like the idea of having to launch each game separately.. although it would be good for nostalgia to see all the old menus... but thats what the old games are for.

This is seriously the coolest collection. Having never played a Halo before it's a definite buy for me.

Can't believe it's only $60 for all of it.
