Supposedly the issue has to do with keys purchased from third party sites. Unless I'm wrong, these are the two versions; Steam direct and third party key sites. It looks like only the Steam version was unlocked.

I'm mainly looking for red flags. If no one points out anything immediately glaring, then I feel confident enough. I wish more studios would do the early access thing so that I can still enjoy pre-order bonuses without actually having to buy the game before I get real information about it.

Just finishing the prologue/intro
Won't spoil it, but probably one of the best prologues I've ever played, HEAVY on the story and lore, the controls, frame rate and gameplay so far seem good. Took a while with settings to get it how I wanted regards image quality and camera handling.
This is going to please A LOT of sceptical people

120 fps with a few drops, but generally very stable. I'm using the in-game 120 fps cap.

Enabling RT is like 30% perf hit, and at least so far the visual difference is negligible so I leave it turned off for now.

Awesome, this is basically my exact setup. I've been hearing speculation that X3D chips would be of huge benefit running this game and your numbers would back that up. Any shader cache stuttering?

I can wait for the nvidia drivers and the day one patch instead of playing basically a beta version of the game like a moron.

Not to platform war at all but it’s this kind of shit is why I just kind of slowly dumped PC as my main platform when it used to be almost my sole gaming platform. I almost have PTSD from trying to get shit to work. And studios just seem to spend less and less interest in it, with late releases and horrible optimization, it started feeling like being a second class citizen in a way.

Not that I’ve dumped it completely but ughh, I just don’t trust any multiplats on it anymore.

No. when you first run the game it compiles the shaders in advance (took like 3-ish mins).

Should have unlocked an hour ago. I’m already playing it on console but I’m still pissed for PC players, that and the late pre-load too. It shouldn’t be an extra hassle like this for PC players.…they have to run Windows so they have other problems to worry about.

Haha if this was my SO I’d be on Amazon right now….it’s my damn 78 year old mother. Think the last thing she played on console for any length of time was Zelda OOT.

Edit: Well she’s finally had her fill. She bought me the first book when it came out and we saw the first movie together day one, and for me I never really loved it, but she did, so handing up the controller for this and watching her go was an absolute delight (kinda surprised she actually started to git gud at the combat on normal difficulty).
