Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Either $69.99 for PS5/XSX or $59.99 for Switch / PC (or your regional equivalent). "Full price" could also be lower on budget games - really just talking about good ol' MSRP.

Which one was your favorite? Are there any you wish you would have waited for a sale?

Probably about 10 full priced Switch games, and just one full priced physical PS5 game (FFXVI) and one full priced Series X game Hogwarts Legacy. Like an idiot I paid $100 for the DE of FFXVI.

FF16, Trails into Reverie, AC6, BG3, Diablo 4.

Trails into Reverie was my favorite by far honestly. I just loved that game. Diablo 4 was my only real regret.

Only Armored Core VI. Haven’t received it yet though.

If DLCs count, Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed at $30 (since DLCs don’t cost more than that).

Otherwise I only bought games at low-to-mid price. Heck I even caught Dragon’s Dogma on the eShop at an astounding $5.

Have to check since I bought lots of day 1 releases this year (AAA, AA and indie). I'll edit my post in a bit.

Only BG3 because the pub heavily controlled how and where the game was sold. Everything else around £10 cheaper via competition in pricing between legitimate key stores on PC.

PS5 digital here so everything goes full price. Even on Switch I’ve started to buy digital copies on release.

Off the top of my head:
Dead Space
Jedi Survivor
AC6
FF16
Spider-man 2
Alan Wake 2
Baldur’s Gate 3
Scorn
Resident Evil 4
Quake 2
Metroid Prime Remaster
Horizon Call of the Mountain
Kayak VR
Super Mario RPG
Paranormasight

I regret Spider-man 2, a lot. Absolutely forgettable.

BG3, but that was 20% off on PC.

I don’t think I bought anything else Day 1 full price. I may have paid more for some retro games though 😅.

Oh, just bought couple Trails games Switch copies on Play Asia and they were $50 and $60.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Only 3.

RE4 Remake (permanent spot in my library)
FF16 (resold after finishing but kept the steel-book)
Alan Wake 2 (permanent, but digital only so not really a choice lol)

I can only think of a few and those were for the Quest. Out of principle, I don't spend $70, or $60 for that matter, on games. My family lives quite comfortably now, but it's hard to shake old habits when you grow up dirt poor.

Mario RPG and Wonder
Alan Wake 2
Diablo 4

A whole bunch of VR games for the Quest 3
Beat Saber
Resident Evil 4

Red Matter 1&2
The Room VR
Many other VR games were on Sale like HL Alyx, Arizona Sunshine

PSVR2 came with Call of the Mountain the only PSVR2 game I own.

iPhone games
Resident Evil Village

Future
Avatar I'll most likely get before end of year

P.S. Everyone claiming I'm killing gaming for having a sub while they just buy a couple games a year can hopefully realize how stupid they sound. Imagine how much I get on sale or with a GP discount.

Full price, off the top of my head:

Wanted Dead
Mario RPG
Mario Wonder
Zelda TotK
Pikmin 4
Fire Emblem Engage
Octopath 2
Bayonetta Origins
Cocoon
Jusant
Metroid Prime
Paranormasight
Humanity
Aliens Dark Descent
Harmony: Fall of Reverie
Robocop
Shadow Gambit
Alan Wake 2

Zero.

Games drop in price too quick for me to justify full price. I'll whittle away at my backlog waiting for price drops, for games I want to show up in bundles, or waiting for them to show up on a service I can subscribe to...

1-2.

I regret buying Diablo 4 at full price, and I regret buying into the end game seasonal model hype.

Looking forward to Baldur's Gate this Christmas.

Who the fuck says paying for subs is "killing gaming" ? But yeah, I sub sometimes but still buy lots of games and I imagine most people do the same.

Zero. I don't remember the last time I bought a game for the equivalent of $60/$70... A very long time. I have far too many games to play already.

GTA VI might get me to bite launch week.

Just Spider-man 2, Baldur's Gate 3 and Diablo 4, I believe. I bought Starfield and Hogwart's Legacy discounted off PC key shops, mainly green man gaming. Just about everything else was a Gamefly rental.

More than 10. I regret Spider-Man 2, Diablo IV and Remnant 2.
I regret my purchase of SM2, because I chose it over Baldurs Gate 3. Now I feel like I have to beat it, because I bought it. I knew it was just a rental, but got it anyways. I’ll rent Wolverine.

From what I’ve seen lately in the forum, Diablo 4 and Spider-Man 2 are the most regretted purchases of the year.

More than any other year when it comes to current year releases and thats with gamepass saving me a lot. My favourite ones ended up being early access releases that ive bought a long time ago.

I'd say it's between FFXVI and Starfield, but I guess many played Starfield through Game Pass.
So:

Diablo 4
Starfield
Final Fantasy XVI
Spider-man 2

Without doubt the most expensive productions of the year. And the most regretted purchases. 🚨

Tears of the Kingdom because I was looking forward to it and it's not like it will have any significant price drop soon (because Nintendo)
FFXVI because I don't learn to never trust Square so I was really hyped for it.

Wanted to get armored core but for some reason no local store was selling it physically. They only seemed to have gotten copies recently but at this point I'll probably just wait for a discount.

If anything switching from Playstation to PC as a main platform taught me, it's patience. Some advice is timeless.

(Will still buy ultra hyped games at full price though. Dragon's Dogma 2 will -sadly- be my first $70 game.)

Spider-Man 2 (meh)
Resident Evil 4 Remake( worth every penny)

Most of my full price purchases were indy titles this year, with AAA I waited for discounts.
