Forza Horizon 5 at cheap price, and Gears maybe, but not anytime soon,I need to upgrade SSD before anything. I will even skip day One Monter Hunter Wilds because of lack of storage.

Fable, but not at launch.

Halo MCC and Gears or War titles, but only a major discount under 9.99.

I want to play Halo but I don't to permanently link my Sony account to a Microsoft account. What if my Microsoft account gets hacked?

So I will probably play Starfield, Avowed and South of Midnight since they are single-player.

Honestly none of them. I already have forza horizon 5 on PC. If there's significant pro upgrades I might doubt dip.

At this point best I can hope for there is that it's actually a decent port and not a bug ridden mess

Avowed, Fable, Gears Collection.

If Avowed is as good as it seems it's going to be huge. I'm trying to stop myself from buying a Series X just for it because I know that's dumb.

I have a PC so I'll skip the vote. Thing is, I've only bothered to buy halo ce. Indie looks good and I'm sure I'll get it some day.

If ki comes out I'll buy for support. That poor game deserved better.

But they have one thing I really want and it's rare replay. Nobody talks about it! I'm not even a big rre fan but that is a very full compilation game that has tons of stuff hard to get anywhere else. Is it just forgotten about or a license hell or what?

None of the above, but I would buy Rare Replay in an instant if it released on PS5 or (preferably) Switch 2.

Halo and Gears.

Probably will get the collections just for nostalgia purposes. I still enjoy the early Halo campaigns and MP.

Will buy every new Gears or Halo on PS5. Also getting Fable and likely perfect dark.

Of course Doom and Indy when they come out.

Dunno if I'm willing to give a second shot to Forza Horizon 5. Didn't click with me initially

The only one I voted for was Gears collection. If E-Day is as mid as Gears 5 I don't want it. I spent years playing MCC and don't want to spend money on it again. The already released stuff I don't really care about except maybe Horizon 5 but my interest in that series dropped off hard. The unreleased stuff, depends if it is good or not but Perfect Dark is probably the game I have the highest hopes for.

I'd buy Halo MCC again but all the others I've played already.

Obvs not the ones that aren't out but that's what GPU is for.

FH5. I played it a lot on XSS when I had GP running 2021 and lost it when I didn't renew. Its a very competent version but PS5 will likely be equal to XSX which is ofcourse superior.

GoW E-Day too. I am sucker for returning to the roots. If the team can pull it of in todays climate remains to be seen.

Note: Poll is for PlayStation owners who have not bought an Xbox Series console
I bought a Series S day one but haven't touched it since GPU expired in 2023, so I'm voting as a lapsed xbox player. Yes I've tried/played some of those games already but never owned them.

Only game I'd seriously consider buying day one from those is Fable, but unsure on how it will turn out so not going to do anything daft like pre-order weeks in advance. Also MCC when it's on a deep sale for the later entries (didn't like the first 2 I played on the S, have not aged well and zero nostalgia goggles effect, but the others looked better when I saw my kid playing them so probably worth it day one if it's a sub-70 release).

Like others have said, a VR2 version of Flight Sim I'd buy in a heartbeat for my Pro. Same with another Minecraft VR (but done well not shit this time).

Surprised FS24 isn't higher, I'm up for that and it's something genuinely different. Otherwise, there isn't much. Halo MCC looks cool, but I've been bitten by the nostalgia bug too often. Most recently the OG Battlefront remake. Playstation isn't short on driving games either. Oddly enough, I jumped ship like many others from 360 to PS4, and the game I always fancied was Sunset Overdrive.

Indiana Jones, the rumored Oblivion remake, maybe Perfect Dark and Fable.
Not interested in Halo, Gears, Forza and other stuff.

State of Decay 3 day one.

I'll be there for FH5, but I played that before.

If Xbox had kept the games I mentioned exclusive, then yes, I would've bought an Xbox. That's moot now, though.

I'm in a very similar boat -- if I felt Indy and Starfield had looked incredible, and especially if I had seen Fable or E-day gameplay and it also looked great, I'd own an Xbox already. None of that has happened for me. And with them now going multiplat (supposedly), there's no reason to get their console. Looks like I'll get to play Indy even if it doesn't look as good as IMO it should, and perhaps eventually some other things that look cool... maybe even Fable? And/or E-day? So... no reason to switch now!

If Fable and E-day both have amazing looking gameplay and are exclusive... eventually I'll have something to think about I guess. But I've been saying that about Xbox for years, last one I owned was 360 and honestly don't feel like I've missed much of anything since.

Yeah, there was a time around the Bethesda acquisition, when I figured I would eventually end up buying an Xbox, because they would have games I wanted to play. That never happened, though. Starfield disappointed, and by the time Indy rolled around, they were sending everything to PS.

I can't say about E-Day, but there is no way they keep Fable exclusive. If they want to have any hope of turning a profit, they have to release on PS5.

It just so happens that I have both consoles, so it turns out that neither one, I don't see the point in buying copies of the same games a second time.

Halo MCC: Triple dipping on Halo 3 is the name of the game. (I still count as a PS only owner since I've sold my Series X).

Perfect Dark: I'm in for a good immersive sim. If it ends being good. Aside from some Halos none on this list have proven nothing to me.

South of Midnight: Not a fan of another DMC clone but the traversal seems interesting and the art style is the most interesting of any title of this gen.

Short list, huh? That's why I sold the SX.

Edit: also, where the fuck is my physical copy of Hi-Fi Rush, LRG??
