I’m seeing OOT, Wind Waker, and TP remaster rumors ramping up

Tik tok and reels are showing stuff like this and bunch of memes saying switch 2 launch possibly. Anyone else get a little flutter in their chest. First thing I played on my steam deck was wind waker HD

If the Switch 2 launch titles are a couple of Zelda Gamecube games, I'll lol

But this is Nintendo we're talking about, so...

I mean yeah. Japanese devs only know remakes and shit to make money in the modern age. Just look at Capcom and Konami. They'll still sell that shit for $70

All 3 have already been "remastered", they need remakes. OOT specifically certainly warrants a big budget ground up remake.

I feel like we've passed the point of excitement for remasters with remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, Diablo 2, Final Fantasy 7, Yakuza Kiwami, THPS 1+2, Crash Bandicoot, etc.

Zelda remakes with new assets, new engine, new lighting and a bit of improved gameplay. That would be really exciting!

This is kind of a shit attitude to have towards remasters and upgrades. There is no way in hell I am going to get my kids to play some of the great games from 10-30 years ago. They are locked to old platforms or emulators and show their age in many subtle ways outside of the graphics. Giving them a revamp and throwing them on a platform that will continue to be accessible is a good thing. Shouldn't the IP owners be able to revive something that was loved by many 20 years ago so new audiences can enjoy it and make money off of it? It keeps support studios working when they are not helping during crunch time and it gives even those who played the originals an easy way to revisit the classics. I want to see all decent, older games remastered at the very least, and remade where there is more potential for sales as long as they are true enough to the originals to provide new gamers a similar experience ( obviously minus the wow we got when the great ones did things for the first time) .

TLDR. It is not lazy, it is the right thing to do so new and old gamers have an easy option to play older games.

Man if Nintendo would ever go the FF7R route with OoT (or MM) that would be absolute bonkers.

I don't think they will though ):

Can't say I'd be interested in any of them after how they botched the previous TP remaster. Maybe OOT if the Master Quest dungeons are unlocked from the beginning. I don't have the patience to play those terrible base dungeons again.

Hollywood has been remastering and remaking films for ages now. It's wild to think 90s and 00s titles still being remade/rebooted in 20 years. That might happen.

Tik Tok and Instagram are not valid news sources... If you are sharing a wish list with us, sure, it would be cool to see. But I don't think there's any real shred of truth to these as verifiable leaks.

Until you realize that Nintendo just makes a shitty emulator and runs games on it and still charges you $70.

IF there is a game that needs a Remake, is OOT... it's almost funny that OOT is the ONLY Zelda 3D game without proper camera controls (officially, at least).
