What is the average time to "install" games from discs?![]()
How are we ever going to get by with all of thesehoursminutes of lost time?
I couldn't say. I've been almost entirely digital on consoles this gen. I don't remember. "Hours" I'm sure lolWhat is the average time to "install" games from discs?
Dragon's Dogma 2 took a grand total of 1 minute and 48 seconds. Brand new install of course.
I cannot test Forza Motorsport as I do not own it, but safe to say that the OP might be exaggerating a tad. The Ryzen 7700x is certainly slower compared to my 13900k, but none of the shader complications took advantage of that many cores.
Either we are both lying or the OP is doing something wrong, that or retardation has kicked in.I just did Dragons Dogma 2 which i've not played since launch.
1min 48 seconds. On an I9-13950hx mobile chip.
Forza under a minute, same set up.
I don't have the last of us installed to check.
Like i said you're doing something wrong or your system is borked.

MK1 took a grand total of 4 minutes and 38 seconds.
It was a sacrifice for the cause. My family did miss me, but that time is now behind us.How on earth did you kill so much time? i couldn't have waited that long. Fucking stupid PC gaming.
TemuOP doesnt even have a PC this is all bait.
Or he got it prebuilt from aliexpress

"I just got my physical copy of GT7 and noticed it takes a very long time to install. My PS5 reports something up to 5 hours and 2 hours already have past."
"Mine went from 9 hours to 13, and now it's saying 99+ hours for a disc install of GT7 not connected to internet. I'm pretty sure my old 60gb iPod classic would fill up faster than that back in 2008. WTF is going on?
Infinitely better that 1+ minutes for every single loading screen on pre PS5 gens.
Plus being fucked by the performance and IQ too...
How so? At least he posted some proof of what he says, which isn't false in any way unlike OP's "proven facts".Lol, you're sounding as bad as the OP now.
Those weren't facts. Most games did not have 1+ minute loading screens. How so? At least he posted some proof of what he says, which isn't false in any way unlike OP's "proven facts".
And less than 0,01% of PC games have pre compilation screens. Those weren't facts. Most games did not have 1+ minute loading screens.
Hence the reciprocated hyperbole. And less than 0,01% of PC games have pre compilation screens.
Night and day! Hopefully we'll get another patch by August to fix some of the remaining performance issues.Sounds cool, is the optimization noticeably better than on launch?
It's not hyperbole if at least 1 game exists in every pre PS5 gen with 1+ minute loading screens.Hence the reciprocated hyperbole.
Racing Destruction Set, on C64, on cassette tape.
If you lived through that you can handle shaders compiling for a few minutes.
Quality game though, was almost worth the half hour wait to load the track only to find you'd set the gravity wrong lol.Hell......even floppy disk was notoriously slow on C64

You implied all though. I agree that both statements(OP and 1+ minute loading) are nonsense. It's not hyperbole if at least 1 game exists in every pre PS5 gen with 1+ minute loading screens.
