I finished the first game in like 40 minutes, and I only died a couple times before the last Wily level. However, I got incredibly lucky on the first Wily level, where you have to jump on to those flying platforms where the spikes are. I thought I could make the leap from one to another, but it was to great, but RIGHT AS I WAS ABOUT TO PLUMMET TO MY DOOM, the guy came back for me. Bless him.

I think Mega Man 3 is as hard as Mega Man 1. That said, the controls for 3 seem just a bit off for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on it, but executing jumping shoots are harder.
The yellow devil is the unbeatable first boss of wily's castle. Those who claim to have beaten him are all horrible liars. 
IN all seriousness , megaman 1's yellow devil is the single most difficult thing one can do in any game ever. If you can do it , good on ya. I'll stick to megaman 2-8 , games which I can actually finish.

I thought the MM3 yellow devil was harder. Mega Man 1 dude you could master the timing, MM3 dude had the weird spongy move that was like IMPOSSIBLE to dodge. 2 energy tanks and Hard Man's weapon are the only way you can beat that bastard

I just beat MM4 -- hooray for me! MM3 was a pushover, too. Still stuck on the Wily stages on MM2.

it took me an hour or two to finally push through the wily stages of mega man 2. man, those final wily forms were a bitch to memorize the jumping patterns.
Megaman 1 is indeed hard. I keep practicing it until i'll finish it with 3-5 lives. So far i've always had to take a continue because sometimes i pit myself.
Damn those random moving platform in Iceman.... they could have AT LEAST spare us their shooting.
There's a couple of ennemies that i think are cheap sometimes... like those MUTHERFUCKIN' helicopter faces in the Cutman level...
I tried the collection at "easy" but they remove half the monsters and when something touch you it's like you never lose more than one energy bar!!!!! Normal difficulty is a bit cheap and "easy" is too easy so i stick with normal difficulty...

Goddammit, add me to the weak category. I got through all the bosses with some minor difficulty but WTF!!! FUCK THAT CYCLOPS!

Man this yellow dude is gay. Once you memorized his patern it's becoming a real joke. I don't where all this fear of it comes from...
The thoughest dude in this game is Fireman. He's quite easy with Iceman but i mean you just can't seem to beat him without being hit. His flame projectiles are very cheap.

I'm really struggling with the first wily boss, yeah the yellow dude, and the stage is pretty hard too...guess I'll try to memorize his pattern then!

Fireman is not hard, he's cheap. I said it's hard not to be hit at all. You can beat the game in it's entirety without being it at all.... except Fireman i guess.
Exxy, do Elecman level before Iceman and get the gun that create temporary platforms and those fuckers will be history.

I was under the impression that MM1 was tough myself, up until today. Everytime I'd get to Wily I'd think for some reason that he had three forms. I'd always sort mentally give up during the second form. I was playing him all day at work today, and after many attempts won. And just five minutes ago I beat him again with ease.
Aside from him, the only other real tough part of any Mega Man is the end boss of MM7, and one snowboarding part in MM8.

Seriously weaksauce gamers, this man speaketh the truth. The final Wily in Mega Man 7 is a bitch. It takes a long while to get good at. I had more trouble with this wily than any other wily in the other 7 megas. Wily in 1 is a joke by comparison.
Damn, stupid "snowboard" thingies in 8. I thought I was done with them after Frost Man and then the bastards go and throw one at me in the beginning of the first Wily stage. :|
Yellow Devil is still hard to me, but the rest of the MM1 wasn't even close to as hard as I'd been led to believe in the past.

Mega Man 2 is the only MM that takes away your Energy Tanks when you continue, right?
