Jedi Survior ... what happened to gaming?

Im playing this game on ps5 pro ... about 11 hrs in... and holy fuck . What a horrible experience.

Cant think of a more souless game ...im in the Jedi Master difficult

1) graphics ... its too inconsistent.. sometimes good some times bad... a lot of glitches... a loooot .. the perfomance is ok most 60 fps in perfomance mode.

2) gameplay is ok .. but very repetitive... the sword fight becomes old and formulaic really fast even with the different stances

3) the AI is dumb and the way the game trys to make difficult is by turning them into sponges or throwing group of enemys at you

4) the exploring barely rewards you.. oh a new face for my android ? A new hair cut ? Thanks but im not 5.

5) forgettable side quests and NPCs... generic to the extreme

6) bad dialogues. Some completely out of context and stupid, just not going anywhere

7) its a game that dont know what it wants to be... its a souls clone + uncharted + metroidvania ... jack of all trades master of none

8) generic Villain- SPOILERS.... oh no another jedi turned evil by being angry with something.. how original.. and he than makes his saber red in real time .. wooow..

9) the game just started to crash on me .. 2 crashs in 1/2 hour ...

In resume .. its a bad game .. with many glitches and bugs.. with graphical inconsistency... bad story and characters... and a frankstein game play structure of 3 types of genres stiched together plus open world wannabe bloatness.

I bought this game.. on sale thankfully... but wouldn't recommend even on free on psplus ...

When studios will stop trying to make 40 hours bloated everything ?... and comeback to making real good focused smaller experiences... this slopp, this fudge of a game is all that is wrong with modern western gaming.

Damn, did you like the first game at all? Was thinking of trying this out eventually but your post makes it seem terrible. I thought the first was decent (not mind blowing). I thought it was supposed to look good now on PS5 Pro?

I thought it was creatively the second best Star Wars piece of media only behind Andor, granted i didnt read the books so ignoring those.

Can you give us an example of what you think is a good game from the past then?
I think had this came out in like a decade ago itd be in the conversation for the best game ever at the time.

I liked it on Xbox and bought it on sale last week as I’m converting my favorite Xbox games over to PS5. I had no issues on Xbox and wonder if the problems had to do with the Pro system as some games seem to run worse on it.

Well in this shitty star wars era that we live being better than Andor is not saying much and I liked Andor ... I personally dont like the game trying to be evrrything and nothing at the same time, it feels disjointed and bad ... like trying too many things and seeing what sticks

Speak for yourself, I'm currently playing it on the PS5 Pro - the visuals are gorgeous, even the 60 FPS mode is crisp and sharp despite what DF might convince people - the gameplay itself has cool mechanics, especially with the force and lightsabers, dual wielding can be very fun. It's full of wholesome characters and the world design is breathtaking at times.

Each to their own I guess.

Did it take you 11 hours to figure out you hated it? I give games 30 mins max before im done with it.
Games now usually has some long tutorial periods.. and in the beginning everything is "new"... once the repetition settles in ..you can see what the game is or what is going to be ... dont think 30 min its enough time to judge this kind pf game

Seeing a lot of this Western vs Eastern gaming thing in the last year. Japan and Korea has sent a lot of shit our way. Nothing has happened to gaming. There's always been mediocre games. Playing an average game doesn't mean gaming is dying.

It's also important to remember that not everything is made for you. This clearly wasn't.

Also also, this game has been out for almost 2 years now and just got a PS5 Pro update. Seeing as you're on here and making a thread, you're in the know enough to be able to find information about this game and there's more than enough information to go through before you made the purchase.

Sure, but whats with the click bait title "what happening to gaming" hyperbole?

You didnt like the game, it happens its normal....nothings happening to entire gaming.
Well we obviously have different opinions about the state of western gaming right now.. thats fine.

Haven't played the second one yet but did play the first and found it to be a surprisingly fun experience meshing together a lot of fun gaming elements. I can't believe the second was botched enough to be all that bad beyond tech issues.

I didn’t implied in anywhere that "gaming is dying" ... and yes I did see the gaming graphical problems.. its not the worst thing .. like I said the perfomance is solid for most of it ..

I feel like I played a different game because I enjoyed this one a lot. I like how they changed the design between games. This was like a 3D Castlevania. Story was ok and the villain ties back to high republic.

To be fair I waited until it was patched. I also take issue with how powerful Merrin was near the end. Like why didn’t we use the green travel sooner?

Bring him to live action already.

Was this a troll post by the OP?

Not at all.. different opinions thats all.. but if you can point where I might be trolling

OP what type of experiences are you looking for? Maybe I can recommend something in exchange if you're looking for something new/recent.

Apparently saying bad things about a game grants you personal attacks... people really are to attached to their toys.

I havent ignored you like i said, and perhaps my original reply couldve been worded differently as my sarcasm doesnt always translate well, but you certainly didnt help the tone of future responses with this:

"Sorry I didnt like the game you did .. you gonna be ok ?"

Its simple mate... people can have a different opinion.. and even if this opinion might be wrong .. you can make a more elaborate response on about what points are wrong and why ... I can surely deal with you thinking is the best game ever , a lot of subjectivity is involved in this things.

It's an enjoyable game on easy\normal difficulty. I can't enjoy most FROM clone games with difficulty sliders since they all just mean "add 34739854398 more HP & 200STR to everything."
