Its really not a difficult game.. im playing on hard (jedi master) ... most fights are fair .. some sponge enemys are usually big monsters wich is strange giving the lightsaber advantage but its all "game magic" and some group encounters like dark souls 2 (bullshit) .. nothing to egregiousIt's an enjoyable game on easy\normal difficulty. I can't enjoy most FROM clone games with difficulty sliders since they all just mean "add 34739854398 more HP & 200STR to everything."
There's always been mediocre games, there's rarely been games so expensive, with so much work put into them yet so shallow and dishonest. Jedi Survivor is even far from being the worst.Seeing a lot of this Western vs Eastern gaming thing in the last year. Japan and Korea has sent a lot of shit our way. Nothing has happened to gaming. There's always been mediocre games. Playing an average game doesn't mean gaming is dying.
It's also important to remember that not everything is made for you. This clearly wasn't.
Also also, this game has been out for almost 2 years now and just got a PS5 Pro update. Seeing as you're on here and making a thread, you're in the know enough to be able to find information about this game and there's more than enough information to go through before you made the purchase.
Jedi Fallen Order is also 3 games stitched together with repetitive gameplay, braindead bulletsponge A.I., uneven dialogue and it's another game where the semi open world adds absolutely nothing except a padded playtime.Damn, did you like the first game at all? Was thinking of trying this out eventually but your post makes it seem terrible. I thought the first was decent (not mind blowing). I thought it was supposed to look good now on PS5 Pro?
Same, but for some reason I remember enjoying my time with itTag checks out
I couldn’t last more than a couple hours in the first game so I never bothered with the sequel. Cool graphics tho.
You probably had other games to play. Story fails to hook you up. Obvious from the start.Same, but for some reason I remember enjoying my time with it
I’m not really sure why I gave up on it
It clearly has Dark Souls, rpg, Uncharted (adventure) , metroidvania, sem open world elements.. its not at all an pure adventure game. It's an ok game. Some weak points and bugs but no need to be so dramatic about it. It doesn't try to be everything, it's an adventure game. You should expect puzzles, climbing and fights.
Yeah, I can’t even recall the story and it’s only been a month or so. I remember the game being visually really nice and the gameplay itself being perfectly serviceable. You probably had other games to play. Story fails to hook you up. Obvious from the start.
I have yet to play the sequel.. but I assume it's like the first game. What about it makes it a "souls clone"..? I can think of absolutely nothing in the first title that made me think "Dark Souls".7) its a game that dont know what it wants to be... its a souls clone + uncharted + metroidvania ... jack of all trades master of none
Guardians of the Galaxy has amazing banter between the lead characters and very good writing. It's literally THE reason to play the game. A unique selling point.Yeah, I can’t even recall the story and it’s only been a month or so. I remember the game being visually really nice and the gameplay itself being perfectly serviceable.
I pretty much had the exact same experience with that guardians of the Galaxy game
Seriously? Correct me if I’m wrong as it’s been a minute but you collect ‘souls’ which you use to level at ‘bonfires’ and if you die, you lose all the souls you collectI have yet to play the sequel.. but I assume it's like the first game. What about it makes it a "souls clone"..? I can think of absolutely nothing in the first title that made me think "Dark Souls".
I haven't played the first in years .. but gameplay wise the second is very inspired by it.. the style of fighting and encounters, the experience you loose during deaths that you have to get back ... the progression.... the parrying and dodging .. honestly cant think how someone would not see the influenceI have yet to play the sequel.. but I assume it's like the first game. What about it makes it a "souls clone"..? I can think of absolutely nothing in the first title that made me think "Dark Souls".
That's it? That's the comparison? So if you lose XP on death is it's a Dark Souls clone? Is this a change from the first game? It wasn't like that in Fallen Order. Even still, I think that's a huge reach.Seriously? Correct me if I’m wrong but you collect ‘souls’ which you use to level at ‘bonfires’ and if you die, you lose all the souls you collect

That combined with progression and gameplayThat's it? That's the comparison? So if you lose XP on death is it's a Dark Souls clone? Is this a change from the first game? It wasn't like that in Fallen Order. Even still, I think that's a huge reach.
Really enjoyed the GoG game . Nothing revolutionary but it was fun.Guardians of the Galaxy has amazing banter between the lead characters and very good writing. It's literally THE reason to play the game. A unique selling point.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor has none of that.
Cool, they must have changed the game mechanics and focus a lot from the first game. As I said, I didn't play it.That combined with progression and gameplay
I remember watching several reviews when this game came out I can’t think of a single reviewer who didn’t make the comparison
You a complete asshole bro?You low IQ bro?
Why are you arguing with people over a game you’ve never played?Cool, they must have changed the game mechanics and focus a lot from the first game. As I said, I didn't play it.

I asked a question - you're the one tossing insults and "arguing".Why are you arguing with people over a game you’ve never played?
Both games are often referred to as Souls-likes or Souls-lites, even if the similarities between them are very surface level.I asked a question - you're the one tossing insults and "arguing".
you straight up said I can think of absolutely nothing in the first title that made me think "Dark Souls" then go on to admit you've never played itI asked a question - you're the one tossing insults and "arguing".

???
I did, in fact, lead the statement with the fact I hadn't played the sequel. Are you confused? I'm not "talking out of my ass" at all, you're just a complete asshat it seems. The statement is literally qualified by saying I haven't played the sequel, but based on the first, I wouldn't consider it (the first game) a "dark souls clone".why not start by just saying you're talking out of your ass
what? doesn't saying you haven't played this sequel, the sequel being Survivor, imply you played the first game? and if not which game did you play? yes - I am confused apparently.Yes. Congratulations, you can read. That's exactly what I said, though chronology may not be your strong suite....

Didn’t platinum but I thoroughly enjoyed them as well. One of the few EA games I can stomach these days.We played two different games apparently.
Platinumed this on PS5 and yes it had some issues but nothing like your drama queen soapbox rant here, sorry.
Now that you mention it, I know exactly what you mean. It does.Something about the way Cal animates drives me nuts - it always looks wonky to me.
The director is on record stating that Dark Souls and Bloodborne influenced Fallen Order, as did God of War and Metroid. That's it? That's the comparison? All I can say is that they must have changed the game a lot from the first title.
That and... it should be obvious to anyone who's played it for more than 20 nanoseconds that it's heavily influenced by Souls games and metroidvanias. The director is on record stating that Dark Souls and Bloodborne influenced Fallen Order, as did God of War and Metroid.
Yeah, the XP methods, the bonfire, losing souls, respawns, etc were all lifted out of Dark Souls basically. But it’s a bit dumber and easier. And you can Pause. That combined with progression and gameplay

Oh yeah, the loot system is horrendous in both games and I don’t understand why. It kills your drive to explore since you get jack and shit from doing that. The biggest hurdle for me was the loot being completely worthless. I wish they could have thought up something to put in those chests that actually gave it some pop. Game was just a little dry overall, but this is exactly the type of solid, mid-tier AA+ content that gaming is missing more of.
