The funny thing about this is that a Bloodborne 60fps patch is one of the most wanted things, and we'd gladly take it.

Yeah I own and finished those dude. Great games. But basically get destroyed by any run of the mill UE5 demo.
They go toe to toe with horizon 2. A cross Gen game. Last Gen second son and shadow fall destroyed watch dogs and COD ghosts and the like.

I'm hoping that Blue Point is doing the Bloodborne remake and the "original content" game they mentioned working on is Bloodborne 2. Probably just wishful thinking though.

So yeah the UE5 valley demo was locked you can go watch it on YouTube right now. Matrix wasn’t locked but it ran decent.

Grubb is one of the few true insiders iirc, even though not always right (of course). Hopefully the PS showcase will fall on a day that I can watch the show live, as that week is going to be a major pain in my ass! I think some pretty awesome announcements is coming, so I would love to watch it live.

same. I want to see what Cerny promised over three years ago now. Lets see this what this thing can do beyond just loading games really fast. Ratchet and DS were a good start but its been over 2 years since they came out, I really want to see what made devs go 'OMG this is the greatest console ever created'. There were half a dozen of these statements flowing around after the cerny conference, including some on the record. Its clear now that third party devs wont do much with it so first party now has to step up.
Matrix looks shit compared to Ratchet and Horizon though.

If there was any studio to do the re-master, I would think Bluepoint would be the best bet. If Bloodborne 2 was announced, having the re-master available prior to release would be great for sales and pre-orders

Its not even the looks for me. I love that i can fly at faster speeds in the matrix compared to the slow ass gliding in HFW. I love that I can play around with the traffic and create realistic collisions, traffic jams etc. It can actually go twice as fast as the gif below.
I really hope Sony devs go out of their way to make games more interactive, more physics heavy, more sim oriented with more destruction than they did in the previous couple of gens.
It sucks but the two devs who actually tried to create dynamic worlds with actual simulations were rewarded with studio shutdowns or firings. The weather simulation in Driveclub is now literally a decade old and still light years ahead of its competition because they treated it as a simulation instead of a visual effect. Days Gone's dynamic weather system paired with their dynamic horde system that changed depending on time of day is just little things that devs can do to make their games feel more dynamic and less scripted. I love Ghost of Tsushima but by this fox and bird chasing side quest is not my idea of an AAA sandbox game. If we see Ghosts 2 and its just another fancy looking game on par with demon souls, ratchet and HFW with no real innovations in open world systems or combat then whatever. It's a war game, i want a full on war simulation with hundreds of enemies on screen. Really dont care to invade ubisoft outposts to hunt down 5 mongols at a time.
For better or worse, especially considering how third parties have phoned in this gen, and MS being consistently inconsistent, this show might be our peak into the next 3-5 years of the gaming industry. Are we going to make the same PS360 era games we've been making for the past 18 years or are we going to take that new leap forward? The ball is in Sony court. If we trust Cerny then the hardware is there for them to shoot for the sky. But honestly, TLOU, Demon Souls, Ratchet, Dead Space, FF16 and even Star Wars caliber next gen games wont do.

Even wrt visuals, I always think CPU related things always just LOOK so cool. Weather, destruction, good animation, even frame rate - you name it. They always add so much to the visuals.

New IP from Naughty Dog, and Santa Monica. It'd be refreshing to get something from those studios which isn't Last of Us or God of War.
Ghost of Tsushima is a relatively new IP from Sony. The first game was jaw dropping beautiful, both in terms of world design and soundtrack. The narrative, characters and gameplay were also solid.
