I'm sure many have strong opinions on this matter, but yeah, the combat in Remake is amazing

I’m playing XVI simultaneously and I definitely would have preferred the Remake’s combat, the depth & variety is too good.

Its the perfect cross between classic/modern combat. The combos are cool, but it feels so streamlined in XVI. I get it, because Clive is a 1 man show, but FF’s remake’s combat brings the kind of evolution you’d expect from these newer games.

XVI kind of feels like brain-numbing-hack ‘n slash-button-mash in comparison.

Combat feels 7.5/10. Everything else feels 9/10 (graphics, audio/ost, boss fights) at least so far.

In the old days people would double dip, or even triple dip to support their console.

I don’t have any hope or care that 16 will come to Xbox. I have played the PS5 demo, I’m good. Also I don’t do anything just to support these billion dollar corporations. You do you though.
