I do remember the sequel being a bit of a slog, when compared to the first. But I still thought it was good. Better than most of the crap releasing these days.

Hopefully they fixed up the controls a bit or else a lot of you are going to be real disappointed.
How many people finished shadow man, turok, tomb raider classics and other various remakes.
I see this as another nostalgia bait game to trick people into playing for half an hour just to say "that was cool" and then they go and play some more Rainbow 6 Siege.

I absolutely hated it. One of those games I can't think of a singe redeeming factor. The graphics were good compared to SR1 but that was mostly going from PS1-PS2. I even thought Defiance was superior to SR2 in every possibly way. SR1 for the time was just incredible though.

Turok were great remasters, the QoL features that were added made those games infinitely more playable than they were originally. Nightdive set the bar.
We'll see if Aspyr does similar things with this remaster. I certainly hope they do.

I just remember the combat and box puzzle design feeling incredibly dated when it original released. The story made it worth plowing through though.

Depends. Tomb raider I think had a lot of the fan/modders involved who did a great job. Hopefully this is the same. But look at the aspyr Star Wars games…..not great

That's right. It's inferior to the first. The puzzles are worse, the story is a mess concealed in great dialogue. The wind, light, and dark reaver mechanics are shit. The time travel aspect is a total shitshow.

My thoughts exactly. Blood Omen was great, never really cared for Soul Reaver.
