Uncharted has some VRR bug on pro, game can work correctly or jump with framerate all over the place (changing modes fixes this).
Tales of Arise in 4k mode is almost locked 60fps on Pro, I only saw one area with drops below:

Other than that even non supported games with dynamic resolutions benefit from bigger GPU and more memory BW: Doom Eternal looks much better in RT mode, same story with Metro Exodus.
I think my biggest disappointment is Elden Ring, game in performance mode is in VRR window in normal gameplay but when traveling on Torrent it still stutters (outside of vrr)...

Depends. PS5 Pro has what I hoped for ps5 base (hardware reconstruction) and I'm happy that I haven't to worry anymore about bad IQ for higher demanding games. To be fair the jump to PS4 Pro was much bigger. Going from 1080p to 4K (with checkerboard rendering, of course) was huge, as were the FPS increase in most games and the enhanced HDR.
Imagine thinking that going from 1080p30 to checkerboard 4K30 is much bigger than delivering fidelity graphics at 60 fps...
Please tell me what games got FPS increases on PS4 Pro and by how much.
PS4 games were 30fps, PS5 games are 60fps already. We got FPS jump in 2020.
Yeah, that's my point... PS4 Pro didn't take games from 30 fps to 60 fps.
PS5 Pro is giving fidelity type graphics at 60 fps. That takes a lot of power to do. It's funny how people want to ignore framerates when talking about visuals... they go hand in hand.
But they start with base consoles power. PS4 was 1080p/30, Pro allowed jump to 1440-1800p or 2160p (this one with CBR).
With PS5 vast majority of games are already 60fps, you get resolution boost most of the time with Pro but not as big as with PS4 Pro (when it was 2x or more). Or image quality jump (thanks to PSSR) even if resolution remains the same.
PS4 Pro delivered bigger power jump, on 4k tvs difference was quite extreme in some games. To be honest I can't really blame Sony for smaller power jump, AMD didn't have any big GPU jump ready for them in 2023 (when console was being finalised).
With PS5 Pro you get more than just a resolution boost, you're also getting framerate boosts.
Playing games with unlocked framerates is the biggest bonus on PS5 Pro, whereas games were mostly locked to 30 fps on PS4.
When I played Hogwarts Legacy, I was getting like 80+ fps and it was night and day compared to playing at 60 with some frame drops.
Maybe you just got your PS5 Pro and haven't used it much, but as someone who had the PS4 Pro and PS5 Pro, I can tell you you're dead wrong here.
Framerates are considerably more important than resolution and certainly more of a difference maker than going from 1080p to 1440p.
No one promised you fps boost with PS4 Pro really, console had the same shitty cpu. Same is true with PS5 Pro - framerate is more stable in some games but it's not 30-60fps jump like between PS4 Pro and PS5. There is one extreme case with that ants game where developers for some stupid reason locked game to 30fps on normal PS5.
I had PS4 Pro as well BTW.
Getting perfectly stable 60 fps plus is a huge achievement in console gaming without having to sacrifice visual fidelity.

And I feel the opposite. The hardware was a bigger jump from PS4 to PS4 Pro, but when all features are considered, the PS5 Pro has been the more notable jump. It actually pushes consoles forward, solidifying upscalers and raytracing (hardware vs software, as an example) for those devices. Not to mention Wifi 7, which allows for downloads far exceeding the best the PS5 could ever achieve (and another thing that the 4 Pro didn't offer over the 4). It's the first console that truly feels like it competes with PC in my house and the only one where I didn't feel too bad for buying Pro versions and not immediately going for the PC ones (looking at Until Dawn's Remake as an example).
