Days Gone Remastered.

On PS5 Pro, you will have the option to select between three graphical settings with an additional 40FPS mode coming in a later patch. At launch you can choose between:

-Performance: 1800p/Target 60FPS

-Quality: 2880p/Target 30FPS

-Enhanced: 1584p/Target 60 FPS with PSSR

PS5 Pro Quality will supersample down from above 4K.

All modes for both PS5 and PS5 Pro output at 4K.*

Doesn't the original have a dynamic 4K resolution that is basically 4K most the time already at 60fps with some dips. (source)

You're ignoring the other "various improvements" mentioned. It's not exactly fair to compare 1:1 even if those improvements aren't worth it.

Yeah I thought this was the way, seemed pretty wide spread when they Remaster/Remake games to bitch about it like it's running the same code. 🤔
Until Dawn just as an example (which does now have a 60fps mode) had the "60$ for downgrade, the original ran at 60fps on PS5!!)
Although I ain't seeing much of difference in graphics here other than increased hordes.
I am getting this though, so don't worry.
I never finished the original and I thought it was good.

Uncharted has some VRR bug on pro, game can work correctly or jump with framerate all over the place (changing modes fixes this).

Tales of Arise in 4k mode is almost locked 60fps on Pro, I only saw one area with drops below:

Other than that even non supported games with dynamic resolutions benefit from bigger GPU and more memory BW: Doom Eternal looks much better in RT mode, same story with Metro Exodus.

I think my biggest disappointment is Elden Ring, game in performance mode is in VRR window in normal gameplay but when traveling on Torrent it still stutters (outside of vrr)...

Everything on the PS5 Pro is also on the PS5. I think it's fair to think the PS5 Pro isn't worth it over the PS5.
Depends. PS5 Pro has what I hoped for ps5 base (hardware reconstruction) and I'm happy that I haven't to worry anymore about bad IQ for higher demanding games. But I can understand the complain about the price.

I played Stellar Blade and Spiderman 2 on my PS5 Pro and I did appreciate the better graphics, but I'm not sure that upgrade is worth a whole new system at any price. The jump to PS4 Pro felt much bigger.

The jump from PS4 to PS4 Pro was very underwhelming. Too many games still stuck at 30fps, so any visual improvements are lost as soon as you pan the camera. This gen has far more 60+ games so the gain in visual fidelity is far more noticeable. IMO.

Imagine thinking that going from 1080p30 to checkerboard 4K30 is much bigger than delivering fidelity graphics at 60 fps...

Please tell me what games got FPS increases on PS4 Pro and by how much.
 
PS4 games were 30fps, PS5 games are 60fps already. We got FPS jump in 2020.

Yeah, that's my point... PS4 Pro didn't take games from 30 fps to 60 fps.

PS5 Pro is giving fidelity type graphics at 60 fps. That takes a lot of power to do. It's funny how people want to ignore framerates when talking about visuals... they go hand in hand.

But they start with base consoles power. PS4 was 1080p/30, Pro allowed jump to 1440-1800p or 2160p (this one with CBR).

PS4 Pro delivered bigger power jump, on 4k tvs difference was quite extreme in some games. To be honest I can't really blame Sony for smaller power jump, AMD didn't have any big GPU jump ready for them in 2023 (when console was being finalised).

Except it is a 30-60 fps jump when you consider that 30 fps fidelity modes are being delivered in 60 fps (maybe with some caveats).

I don't care about what was promised, I care about what was delivered.

I'd much rather a game go from 50 fps with dips below the VRR window to 65 fps than a game go from 1080p to 1440p.

Getting perfectly stable 60 fps plus is a huge achievement in console gaming without having to sacrifice visual fidelity.

Many games on PS5 deliver fidelity graphics at 60 fps. I own a PS5 Pro and it doesn't feel like as big of a jump to me.

As for your request, you sound like the kind of guy that goes up to a girl wearing a Nirvana shirt and asks them to name 5 songs.

Edit: by the way, the one game that I want to deliver perfectly stable 60 fps at quality mode doesn't achieve it. I get it that it's not the Pro's fault that Elden Ring hasn't gotten a performance patch, but still, it doesn't operate within the 48-60 VRR range fairly often.

The value is in the pro for individuals wanting to pay the premium for better resolution in AAA/AA games moving forward and some games that already released that have been patched. The pro is pretty much a bit more hdd space and a GPU upgrade. That's it, if you want the upgrade specs you pay the premium. The value is subjective to the individual.
 
I own a PS5 Pro and it doesn't feel like as big of a jump to me.
And I feel the opposite. The hardware was a bigger jump from PS4 to PS4 Pro, but when all features are considered, the PS5 Pro has been the more notable jump. It actually pushes consoles forward, solidifying upscalers and raytracing (hardware vs software, as an example) for those devices. Not to mention Wifi 7, which allows for downloads far exceeding the best the PS5 could ever achieve (and another thing that the 4 Pro didn't offer over the 4). When the dust settles, I'd bet the 5 Pro will easily be looked at as the bigger game changer.

The PS4 Pro also went up against the One X, reducing its overall impact. The latter made a more substantial dent in console gaming.

Indeed, although if you got a newer PS5, noise levels weren't nearly as bad. Still, while the 4 Pro upgraded both CPU and card, everything else stayed largely the same. The 5 Pro feels more like a wider spread upgrade (better card, better RAM, bigger storage increase, faster Wifi, and an upscaler). It's the first console that truly feels like it competes with PC in my house and the only one where I didn't feel too bad for buying Pro versions and not immediately going for the PC ones (looking at Until Dawn's Remake as an example). This is rare, of course, but that's just how substantial the upgrade has felt.

I think PS4 and pro were the loudest consoles ever released - alongside first models of Xbox 360 before disc install became a thing.

PS5 was worth buying just for this, lol.

PS4 Pro had more RAM than the PS5 Pro, same basic setup, although the PS4 Pro used the same RAM while the PS5 Pro's extra RAM is slower.

No, they followed the same approach. An extra 1 GB of RAM for the OS so that the main RAM have more back to games.

No, both systems added 1GB of extra OS RAM and they are the same setup (DDR3 system/GDDR5 video vs DDR5 system/GDDR6 video).

The ps5 pro fan noise is decent, the big issue i've seen is with coil whine, if sony put effort into reducing the coil whine it would have been a quiet system imo.

My launch ps5 was lucky to have very little coile whine.

As far as I know most PS5's operate at a really good level in terms of noise, I don't know anyone personally who had issues so I'd be very surprised if someone did and I'd go as far as to say maybe there's a defect or something in the manufacturing or something like that.

Apparently Sony was well aware of the infamous noise issues that the PS4 Pro was causing, I remember my friends sounded like a loud vacuum cleaner I kid you not, Mark Cerny went out his way to mention that a new design approach was taken to design the PS5 SoC and it's cooling system, fixed amount of power being supplied to the unit which made everything more predictable and allowed them to design a cooling system which would remain close to quiet even at the highest possible load.
