Improved Online Connectivity

A series of updates to help improve overall gameplay smoothness when playing online, in particular, reducing rubberbanding and lag

Male/Female Body Option

In response to recent community feedback, players can now choose between ‘male’ and ‘female’ body types as part of the character creation process

New Umbral Ambience Audio Setting

In v1.6, we made a number of changes to improve the exploration experience of the Umbral realm, one of which was to reduce the initial ambient soundscape. Building on this, the latest update introduces a new audio option in the settings menu, giving players the ability to adjust the Umbral Ambience volume to their personal preference.

Stability Improvements and bug fixes

Did the game ever get fixed? IIRC, they have been trying to advertise it on PS store with the patch number listed, I assumed to signal that the launch state/metacritic is not the same as it is now....but did they actually fix it and make a good game or is it still this: https://www.metacritic.com/game/lords-of-the-fallen/

For example, Lies of P got multitudes better after launch and I think the metacritic now underscores it. It's more like an 87 now instead of an 80.

Can someone clarify what the option was before? Male only or was it a Type A / Type B situation, or *gasps* a slider?

Edit I see it was Type A / Type B.

I had to check Reee to see what they thought. This reply made me laugh so hard. So much projection here ....

The game is already a success.

Yes it's fixed. On PC I can say it's definitely in a much better state than it was at launch.

On the PS5 pro it's one of the more impressive updates:

Speaking as an early Gen Y liberal, I just can't deal with Gen Z liberals anymore. They're so deep into their echo chambers that they can't be helped. Like this dude actually believes this shit, despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Just look at the EA/Veilguard news today. Or the record breaking failure of Concord. Where do they come up with this shit?

It's amazing how disconnected from reality they are.

Due to being overly exposed to the internet from such a young age they have literally grown up (and been shaped) on echo chambers.

It should come as no surprise. The Internet can do horrible things to children whose brains are still developing.

I can't deal with Gen Z. Period. Both liberals and conservatives are rotting in dreadfully polarized echo chambers, constantly canceling each other and relentlessly looking for the next "gotcha". Gen Alpha needs to bring back some balance and common sense, or we are all doomed.

On the topic though, excellent news. Still not going to get the game. Make something better.

I trully enjoyed this game more than lies of Pi ... much more... but I already played the fixed version very post launch.

Dudes, listen up :

Maybe this game was shit on release but, NOW, it's a very enjoyable souls-like with INCREDIBLE art-direction (can't stress this enough), shit is the DEFINITION of Grimdark and I say that in a good sense, the bleakness is really something else in this game, from the decrepit shacks/villages, to the imposing castles/cathedrals, to the dingy dungeons... everything looks as it should, dark, foreboding, gloomy and proper rotten...
Also, on the PS5 Pro at least it's one of the prettiest games out there (no hyperbole) at a rock steady 60fps.
It's the closest thing to Bloodborne's dark and beautiful art-direction and that's the biggest compliment I can give to a game, also, the fact that they ironed out the game's performance, fixed/changed the weapon sounds amongst other things goes to show that the devs really care about their game.

No, It's not going to light the world on fire but, it's as good as soul-likes get (now) , and for the price that it can be bought these days (20-20something Eurodollars) is a no brainer.

Bought both lies of P and this 2 months ago and while Lies of P was good (it also has better combat in my opinion), Lords of the Fallen, just for the fact of the amazeballs art-direction in my opinion wins - your mileage may vary obviously but...yeah 😉

So everyone loves LotF now? Good, at least play it while you're at it. It's a GREAT soulslike especially after all the updates. Got a lot of shit on release but also S-tier post launch support and looks amazing on the Pro.
Always loved.. check post history ...great game! Best souls like imho.

Want a PS5 sale and I'll pick it up.

It's on sale now for £23, if it says 69.99 on the app change the version from deluxe.
