I completely get what you're saying and it's logical, but I'm mostly supporting that they had the guts to publicly come out against DEI. In order for the industry to truly change for the better, we need some publishers and devs who are brave enough to publicly stand against DEI and denounce it at risk of reducing sales, and that's regardless of whether they once supported it or not. In fact, it takes even more guts to admit when you're wrong, so by publicly standing against DEI when they once embraced it, they're taking a real risk. Regardless of whether they're doing it for the right reasons or not, it's still the kind of thing that can inspire other developers to do the same, and that spark could really start to fix the industry. Like I said, I completely get your point, but any dev who publicly takes a stand against DEI gets my coin for now, until this industry is back on track and the purple haired weirdos are forced out.Are they fighting against it? As far as I’m concerned, they were part of the problem. They only reversed course when they realized gamers were fed up with this garbage, but did you need to ask players about having male/female to know it wasn’t a problem?
They saw an easy way to score points against that DEI nonsense and are pretending to fight the good fight when it’s simply self-serving. Their game is also mediocre, so they most certainly don’t deserve your money.
