Dudes, listen up :
Maybe this game was shit on release but, NOW, it's a very enjoyable souls-like with INCREDIBLE art-direction (can't stress this enough), shit is the DEFINITION of Grimdark and I say that in a good sense, the bleakness is really something else in this game, from the decrepit shacks/villages, to the imposing castles/cathedrals, to the dingy dungeons... everything looks as it should, dark, foreboding, gloomy and proper rotten...
Also, on the PS5 Pro at least it's one of the prettiest games out there (no hyperbole) at a rock steady 60fps.
It's the closest thing to Bloodborne's dark and beautiful art-direction and that's the biggest compliment I can give to a game, also, the fact that they ironed out the game's performance, fixed/changed the weapon sounds amongst other things goes to show that the devs really care about their game.
No, It's not going to light the world on fire but, it's as good as soul-likes get (now) , and for the price that it can be bought these days (20-20something Eurodollars) is a no brainer.
Bought both lies of P and this 2 months ago and while Lies of P was good (it also has better combat in my opinion), Lords of the Fallen, just for the fact of the amazeballs art-direction in my opinion wins - your mileage may vary obviously but...yeah
