So I just read this Korean comic Geukji High, which is pretty much Korean Cromartie High School only with more action...and absurdness:

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Somehow, I could tell that was manhwa just from the character art.

Noracist.

Should probably quote resize those images, or at least least place two on each line or select fewer.

Ketchup is pretty awesome with that staff style, etc. Poor dudes that died and epic barrier shattering.

Green Blood 1

I found this manga by accident, when I was looking for some information about the Molester Man movie. Someone, on some forum, introducted Molester Man in a thread, but his post had the cover and some pictures of Green Blood instead. I have no idea why and I don't care, because the art looked good and it made me curious enough to check it out.

KAKIZAKI Masasumi is the author and artist of Green Blood. The manga takes place in Manhattan's Five Points and the surrounding sixth district, at the beginning of the industrial revolution (some time after 1865). If the location rings a bell, it might be, because of the 2002 Hollywood comedy movie with these two fellas

So far, none of them are in the manga, but the surrounding topics are similar. Gang fights, flood of immigrants and the survival in the Five Points, which apparently was the worst slum of the world, during that time period.

The main characters, as far as I can tell, are Luke, a young boy who works at the docks, and his older brother Brad, who seems to be an unemployed bum.

Both of them wish to leave this terrible place as soon as possible.

But what Luke doesn't know, is that his seemingly unemployed brother is the most feared assassin in the district and he works for the biggest gang of the Five Points, the Grave Diggers.

I really like the art and setting and hope this doesn't get cancelled anytime soon.

Green Blood is still on-going and is published in Kodansha's weekly Young Magazine. 17 chapters are released so far.

Only gonna do one avatar per person I think, otherwise it's a bit too much hahahah.

On break right now though, I feel light-headed from doing so much art in a row lol.

/edit

Also thank you for the compliments, not gonna quote everyone who did tho.

I really hope you have, or will eventually get a job doing this stuff. You are damn good at it. I'm sure plenty of indie game devs would hire you if they could afford it.

Here's the trailer for the movie, credit goes to Articalys for finding it originally.

Finally got home to watch this. Kansai looks the best of three even there!

Oh wow, that's one hell of an accidental find.

Nozomi to Kimio 8

Nozomi vs shitty cheerleader girl is the biggest no-contest in the history of anything and the MC is an idiot even by MC standards for not realising this.

Also your sprite work is awesome, Neoriceisgood. If I hadn't made a promise to a childhood friend not to change my avatar I'd think about requesting something.

Screw it, I failed my willpower roll after seeing that latest batch. Neoriceisgood, you will be my husbando forever
for a week
if you do Kurumi from Date A Live when you're next spriting again:

If it helps, I'm reasonably sure that she's a whackjob going by the Light Novels. She hasn't appeared in the manga yet and the anime isn't airing until April.

If she's too much of a pain in the ass to do then I'd humbly request Yomi from Screaming Lessons instead: (1) (2) (3). Hopefully she'll be quicker and easier since she only has half a body. She's a (deceased) creepy narrator type.

Also I was watching your stream earlier and goddamn you've made an impressive collection of these things.

Green Blood looks fucking phenomenal. Gonna throw that one on the list once I finish marathoning MedaBox Abnormal. (How in the fuck did I forget that this was a thing all this time; has there been any hints at a MedaBox "Minus" series?)

Also, motion seconded with Battleship on the current state of affairs in Nozomi no Kimio.

Check out Hideout, if you get the time. He also did Rainbow, which ended up with an anime adaptation a few years ago.

Indeed. Best random manga find ever.

Fina fuckingally I have been saying read Green Blood for a while now to no avail.

There are some of us who are reading it already. Well at least I do, great stuff.

Everybody reading the Big 3 at the right place knew about Green Blood :)

I expected that some of you guys knew about this.

Yeah but sometimes people will only notice if you post images and lots of text.
Gotta know how to sell a product!

I had stumbled on Until Death Do Us Part way back in 2009, I thought it would be some sappy shoujo story based on the title but oh god was I in for a treat. I only wish we got chapters more often.

another great Random find for me was Angel Densetsu man was that series fun.

Oh my god this too!

My top 5 were all random finds. Hell, I think there's only one in my top 10 that wasn't. It's my only way of coming across stuff other than if it's mentioned here.
