Then again, I agree with YSO in that FW will see a noticeable drop for this one, compared to Triple Deluxe. The key will be GW sales.

Don't think it will happen, but Kimishima should start thinking about revising Wii U shipments in Japan to meet the demand, ~300k for the entire fiscal year it's really a joke. Those Splatoon amiibo gonna blow the whole country, if you ask me.

500k forecast for FY isn't enough for Japan, not for entire world. I don't know how is possible they stick to this plan with NX losing these holidays.

The Nathan Drake Collection ended overshipped and the new Uncharted is premium priced so we are likely looking at a Dark Souls III situation with stabilized or declined sales.

The game should do 100k - 120k FW, and do around 180k - 200k LTD. Western games are doing really well nowadays.

As for the upcoming big sellers I'm almost sure YW has also peaked and find its roof at ~3m.

Pokemon will be more interesting to watch since it looks to rise again at popularity this year.

The Yo-Kai/Pokémon binomy will be pretty interesting this year, since this third entry is focused on the updates and giving the game the chance to last longer than other entries.

Best versions behave like legs for established franchises. They tend to sell less and sells with new entries.

Uncharted has a declining rise when you add all versions

160k -> 195k -> 210k

There isn't any reason for 4 to change the pattern, stabilization is the expected.

Were Yo-kai 2's legs hurt by Shinuchi? That sold a ton at Christmas, which probably hurt 2's legs a little. Yo-kai 3 might be able to surpass 2 if there isn't a third version.

There were shipments of Wii U, very few units. There are restrictions at the time of buying one, as a total cash payment (not only to buy also to pre-order). Prices are getting higher, even at retail.

As has been said, Kirby sold better than expectations. There are more units on shelves, of course, but it sold considerably well after its launch.

Looks like Uncharted gonna have a good opening week as well.

I doubt Kirby is selling better than expectations, but according to retailers expectations. You only need to take a look at the shipment to realize that retailers were expecting a good first and second week.

Probably is more accurated to say that it's selling better than some gaf members expectations that were based on Comg pre-orders, ignoring that Kirby sells well during holidays and pre-orders aren't that important for this type of game.

Yeah, I should have to add that "retailers" to my wording. But that slow start at 20% and the progressive improvements will surely end on being above that 120k expectations by YSO. That is what I wanted to express.

So sad. Maybe if the game sold 500k worldwide a SO VI could happen (5-6 years from now), but I can't see the game selling over 350k in the west

You never know, some games sell way better in the west than japan.
