I saw in another thread that certain mods here have been strongly implying that Persona 5 is for PS4. Yes, PS4.
Link?

Just a random question to sales-GAF, but what happened to the May NPD results? I don't recall there being a thread and I'm really curious to see what happened.
Is there any implication that it will come out soon? I think what we've seen with Golden is that Persona is a fairly popular series that will move units, it won't have a major lasting effect.

Oh okay. Thanks.June 17.
IF FFXV is 2014, that plus P5 would be a nice little start for the PS4 JRPG wise.
I'm skeptical XV will make it, but who knows.
Also Yoshi Yarn, thats 2013 right? Also Donkey Kong, Wii U Party, Wii Fit U, and possibly Mario and Sonic.
Sales wise, it could be a pretty good lineup.
Yup. It will definitely have a musou game or 2.
Probably Riiidge Racer.
Something Gundam related.
Honestly though, not sure if Sony will have a real heavy hitter for Japan at launch.
Also Yoshi Yarn, thats 2013 right?

Guys are aeana and duckroll hinting at Persona 5 for PS4? <_<
First I noticed this post from duckroll in the "Is Atlus going to have a strong showing at E3?" thread:
So many interesting opinions here. Maybe Atlus will surprise most people...
Then I also noticed this post from aeana in the "All these new systems are nice but what I want to see at E3 is Persona 5. Please?" thread:
Things are sure gonna be interesting around here when it's finally announced.
Also in the "Is Atlus going to have a strong showing at E3?" thread, I heard duckroll say this in reference to P5 on the PS4:
I believe.
Harmless comment right? Well this is what aeana said in response:
It'll end up on a handheld too!
Eventually.
OK? duckroll's response:
Well... it'll be on a portable day 1. Unless it uses the camera!
Hmm. As we know, all PS4 games need a mandatory Vita remote play option unless they use the camera.
Her response:
Heh heh.
Am I reading into stuff too much or is that what they're getting at? I also heard duckroll saying to "save up" to another user in reference to P5 I believe but I haven't been able to pinpoint that post.
Well Sony is apparently planning on holding a PS4 event before TGS so i would think they definitly have something worth showing .

What that may be .i don't know.
IGN said:Level-5, the Japanese developer behind the Dark Cloud series, Dragon Quest VIII, Rogue Galaxy, the Professor Layton franchise and – most recently – the surprise-hit PS3-exclusive JRPG Ni No Kuni, is officially working on a PlayStation 4 game.
Word comes from Gematsu (via Nikkei Trendy), with CEO and President Akihiro Hino stating, “It’s still in the planning stages, but we are also working on a PlayStation 4 title. We might be able to announce it soon.”
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/04/09/ni-no-kuni-developer-creating-playstation-4-game
Gematsu said:Yakuza series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi teased the next Yakuza title in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation.
Don’t expect to see the next Yakuza title on PlayStation 3, though. Nagoshi said he thinks Yakuza 5 will be the last entry in the series part of PlayStation 3′s generation.
Nagoshi hopes to show the next “something” sometime this year.
http://gematsu.com/2013/02/toshihiro-nagoshi-talks-next-yakuza-title
Well, I'll take a few guesses for the heck of it.
1.) Level 5 Game:
2.) Yakuza:
3.) Maybe a teaser of Demon's Souls 2. However, if that's a real product, I can't imagine From would want to talk about it too much, given that Dark Souls 2 isn't out yet. If it is real though, this might imply they intend to effectively annualize the series by alternating between Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, so they might want to get some hype going for it.
4.) Well Nomura said they were going to talk a bit more about Final Fantasy XV at TGS, so they might show a bit more of that or a couple of the other already announced PS4 games.
You really think P5 is gonna come to PS4 because of two mods? Come on son.He means my post.
Forgot that there was nothing at E3 for Yarn Yoshi.No-wasn't even in a good enough form to show at E3 unlike several 2014 titles.

The game has more chance of coming out on the PS2 than the PS4.

PS3/PS4 is a possibility, thats not what I'm doubting, its the source that the conclusions are drawn from that I'm doubting. Still I think PS3 and then a port to Vita then a special edition for PS4 later on makes more sense for a series like Persona. Releasing it on PS3/PS4 will just divide the sales on both platforms, instead you can make people double dip instead.PS3/PS4 for P5 seems like a good option for both Persona and Sony. P6 which would probably come out a couple of years later would be very limited if it stayed on PS3 so it would be wise for Atlus o bui;d that base in PS4 early in the gen. They're always so lttp >.<
So Famitsu has info on Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga's Ambition for 3DS:
http://www.famitsu.com/news/201306/14035014.html
Anyone care to summarize? What are their titles?
Characteristic of the Nintendo 3DS version]
Add the four original scenario of ◇ this work, you can enjoy the scenario of a total of 10 books. In addition, you can add more than 100 new military commander, military commander of more than 800 appeared.
It is equipped with the ability to edit the value of the (special) military commander SP to become fellow under certain conditions and historical warlords the "historical warlords edit" function.
I have recorded at once the face of the graphic series of successive famous lords like "Oda Nobunaga", "Takeda Shingen", "Uesugi Kenshin".
(It can be used to make the original warlords or "new warlords registration" in "historical warlords edit")
for example, be able to pass the new military commander in the communication passing , I cope with the communication function of the Nintendo 3DS

The game has more chance of coming out on the PS2 than the PS4.
The ps2 had an install base of 4.5 million and FFX managed to do 1.8 million in its first week.
If the PS4 builds a sufficient userbase (4+ million) I'm sure FFXV will do much more than 1 million.

Anyone care to summarize? What are their titles?
Is there any particular reason why it can't be PS4 exclusive?
Because there's no existing userbase for the PS4 as of right now. Atlus currently has no reason to make a PS4 exclusive when a PS3 game would sell better.
The Vita has very few systems sold in Japan, that didn't stop Atlus make P4G. Also it might be worth it for them moving their customers to the next console, as they know the Persona fanbase is on Playstation systems.
P4G is an expanded port, but a port nonetheless.
If they wanted to move their customers to the next console, they should do that with an existing game rather than a new game (similar to MH3G for 3DS). Persona 5 being an exclusive launch or near-launch title for the PS4 would end up severely restricted by the lack of an established userbase.

Didn't Persona 4, the original for PS2, release after the PS3 launched? My random guess, but if it is on a console, I bet it will launch on a PS3. Not really because it has a much larger userbase, but because that is the system it was developed for and they will stick to it and have no reason to port it to PS4. At least that is my random guess on what system I most likely seeing it launch for.
I think the target market for PDZ is the people who were turned off due to the always online/smartphone/microtransaction nature of the original game, and what we do know about it makes it seem like a more traditional JRPG. Don't think it will have anywhere near the same 15mil userbase as the mobile version, but I do see it as the first step in branching out to different media formats. Puzzdra anime anybody?

And I know eShop charts mean little unless Iwata gives numbers but DKR3D is #15. Very low as Luigi (which I game I guess I figured this would compare with) started much higher, much quicker.
How long do you expect PS4 take to reach 4+mil in Japan?

So... What we do with the FGH 2013?
It's at 37,800 ¥ for the paper version, and 34,650 ¥ for the PDF version: http://www.f-ism.net/fgh/2013.html
I'm ok to give some money for it to someone in Japan. If 10 people do that, it will cost less than 30 € / 40 $ / 26 $.

That the Top 1000 of the last year which of course includes LTD on said games? Fucking bloated price to simply know how games have been selling, but then again I'm not in that business so...
