This is strange, aren't weeks 51 and 1 usually much stronger than week 52? This time around, week 52 seems to be better than 51 across the board.

Not sure it ever happened.

A few weeks ago, Iwata mentionned the 3DS had 4 2-million tittles in 5 months, which is a first for the Japanese market. Not sure about 5 2-million sellers in a single year, but I think the PS1 (and maybe the DS) might have been the only console capable of pulling that sort of software sales.

We don't know for sure as a surprise hit may come in the middle of the year to any platform. Nobody expected a big 3DS year in 2014 aside maybe from Smash 3DS until Youkai Watch fever happened, and a sudden Pokemon 2014 release.

Well... there's Youkai Watch 3, for starters

That Pikachu detective game could be popular too, though it's hard to say without having seen the game itself.

And probably some secret Nintendo game that is yet to be revealed.

Judging from the speed of YW releases so far, I'd say that there's no way we get through 2015 without another one. Level 5 doesn't seem like a company to let a cash cow go unmilked.

Also, I won't really be surprised if Gamefreak actually does give us a pokemon game this year of some variety. IIRC they took a year off in 2011 and 2007, and otherwise it's been annual since the ds. Anything goes at this point. Seems like they've got two teams for pokemon? So the xy team would have had two years to prep xy sequels/companion versions.

Despite the surge of Youkai Watch, the software sales are less than 90% of 2013 software sales. This issue, IMO, is much more worrying than hardware sales figures.

Apparently it's an enhanced port with additional stages, better graphics and frame rate. Plus the original SFC version of Umihara Kawase is also included. The title is Sayonara Umihara Kawase Chirari and it'll be coming out on April 23, 2015.

Also, Vita is getting Hakuisei Aijou Shoukougun (白衣性愛情依存&#30151

, a yuri VN and sequel to Hakuisei Ren'ai Shoukougun by Kogado Studio. It'll be released in April 2015.
