Confirmed or speculation?
It really is each tracker's decision but both Famitsu and Media Create did the same thing before IIRC. As for numbers that silver PS4 sold like 38K at the first week so I'm estimating 40K-ish number.
Confirmed or speculation?

"God Eater 2: Rage Burst" sold 272 thousand copies, expanding sales of Vita console
・ Total software sales were 693 thousand copies, which were 99.82% of last week.
Since popular new titles have been released since last week, software sales leveled off and a ratio of new software sales to total software sales was 50.93%, which was almost the same as 55.03% last week.
Selling 234 thousand copies, "God Eater 2: Rage Burst" for the Vita grabbed the top spot.
With its PS4 edition selling 38 thousand copies, its sales across every platform amounted to 272 thousand copies.
Although they were around 70% of initial sales of its previous installment, "God Eater 2" (378 thousand copies across 2 platforms), it can be said that the latest one got off to a sound start, given that handheld version of latest one was only for the Vita, and that it was an update edition of the previous one.
・ Total hardware sales were 112 thousand copies, which were 106.27% of last week.
Sales of the Vita amounted to 35 thousand consoles, which were pulled by the release of " God Eater 2: Rage Burst" and by the launch of 'Debut Pack.'
Its sales more than tripled to 322.94% of last week. According to retailers, many purchasers buy 'Debut Pack' with "God Eater," so it seems that these launch promoted the users' shift from the PSP to the Vita.
That's not to say I think Sony has Monster Hunter. They seemed to be under the impression that Frontier was coup for Vita ...
Both PS3 and PS4 versions of DQH are sold out on Amazon JP. Both have restock listed as "in 1-2 Months", though I'm sure they'll get more stock before that.
Only the PS4 version is out of stock. The PS3 version is still available at all Yodobashi outlets.http://www.yodobashi.com/ec/product/stock/100000001002536938/index.html
Along with amazon Yodobashi run out of stock too. However many store were saying they'll replenish stock tomorrow, so we'll see about that.

They think it's a coup, so it got announced randomly in a TGS stage-show stream?
The only game they've treated with the respect that a 'coup' deserves, was DQ Heroes.

Let me know how this looks for data tracking.
QtiPlot?
That means Dragon Quest Heroes sold about 350,000 copies total on its first day.
For comparison, One Piece: Pirate Warriors sold 655,774 copies (Media Create), or 627,214 copies (Famitsu), on its first week.
I'm expecting a solid 450k for the first week, and 550k LTD.
So, it's gonna sell worse than Hokuto no Ken musou?
So, it's gonna sell worse than Hokuto no Ken musou?
DQH no, but I'm sure Pirate Warriors 3 will.
[[PS3] One Piece: Pirate Warriors # <ACT> (Bandai Namco Games) {2012.03.01} (¥8.190) - 828.087
[PS3] One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 # <ACT> (Bandai Namco Games) {2013.03.20} (¥8.190) - 408.878
[PSV] One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 <ACT> (Bandai Namco Games) {2013.03.20} (¥7.140) - 108.454
We'll see a similar drop for 3 likely.
I'm expecting a solid 450k for the first week, and 550k LTD.
If I remember correctly Dragon Quest Swords had somewhere in the range of 300k sales it's first week, and topped off under 500k.
First week number sounds reasonable although a bit on the low side of expectations, but its lifetime sales will definitely be much higher than that.

To be fair there were a lot of totally unreasonable expectations floating around.
Some were actually expecting this title to reach 1 million LTD.
I wouldn't be surprised if it exceeded 1 million worldwide with more than 750k sold in Japan.

1 million worldwide is a real possibility if it's advertised.
You're expecting it to more than double it's first day sales. Is there a precedent for Dragon Quest or even Musou titles to do that in Japan? I always thought that both are front loaded and generally don't have long legs.
Yeah. because it'd be the first time for a DQ spin-off to sell 1m
I wouldn't be surprised if it exceeded 1 million worldwide with more than 750k sold in Japan.
If
I'd be rather surprised if HyWa on WiiU WW outsold DQH on PS4/PS3 WW.
I'd be surprised too as that's very unlikely.
I meant it more in terms of the discussion you guys were having about it reaching 1M WW. As of January, HyWa had shipped 1M to retailers.
Unless I misunderstood which title you were talking about.
I guess it kinda shows how bad Vita started this year.T_T As even when it get tons of help from the bundle, people just seems to have give up there.T_T
Capcom is supporting two handheld markets: 3DS and mobile.
Mobile is even getting a custom made Monster Hunter game they've been working on for like 3+ years now.
since when selling over 30k means "even with the bundle, people gave up" ?
M-C is reporting PSP users are switching to Vita, so this means they are giving up?
yes, maybe from a PSP perspective

you're doing it wrong, where's the Wii U comparison
You say that as if 30k is a high mark, it's not.
for a dead and buried system, it is !
