There's a lot of Mercury DNA on display. But it's EGS exclusive.

Lords of Shadows was quite good, the sequel not so much.

The gameplay showed on the trailer reminded me of Spacelords. They had some cool ideas with it, but the execution was terrible... It also seems to have a similar art style.

I hope this new game is successful.

Great atmosphere and production values. The gameplay did nothing for me. That’s all I remember.
Combat is very technical. Better than the OG God of War games. More counters, deep move set, magic rationing for healing. DMC style combat challenges. Multiple difficulty levels.

I thought DmC by NT was the better baka gaijin action game of that era, personally. Like Chuck Berry Chuck Berry said, Castlevania was a mid God of War ripoff. I do remember being hyped that Kojima’s name was attached to it. I had high expectations that weren’t met.

I loved it. Spanish dark Christian art similar to Blasphemous (another Spanish game.). Great combat, voice acting, OST, sick book UI.

Boys, don't know, after Jericho, Castlevania LOS and even Raiders of the broken planet/Space Lords (talking about the art direction), this looks like your typical, generic, run of the mill medieval high fantasy stuff and the almost cartoonish design of the main character and enemies doesn't help...

Maybe it'll play well, who knows, late May is DOOM time though and once again, the release date seems tone deaf...

Hope to God that Alvarez guy is out of the company cause he managed to fuck up both LOS2 AND raiders of the broken planet/Space Lords which had high potential...

PS: the OST is giving me Araujo vibes

PS: I'd play the shit out of a SP, Lycus Dion based game, Space Lords had some really nice chars and art direction G'dammit

For a moment I though it was Blade: Edge of Darkness related... but they fucked up the vibes.

Seing this was a spiritual sucessor hurts my heart... they should have take out the extra green/purple fantasy magic out of this game

Looked ass for them honestly. The art style and world building on display here just reeks of Godhand cheap unreal engine blah.

I am a big fan of LoS, so I’ll keep an eye on this. Seems a lot like it. Maybe to a fault? But, hoping it offers some uniqueness as well.

Already 10% off on the Xbox store.
That's the pre-order discount (well duh), interestingly for Playstation you need have pay for the discount privilege with PS+
It's time to get angry Playstation users, or are you reduced to idle methane producers?

(Godfall bad, Godhand good).
If you think it's UE, you're tilting at windmills. It's their own proprietary Mercury Engine used in everything they developed, Space Lords, the Castlevania games and Metroid Dread. The art is their own trademark European comics inspired. It's what the fans expect.
IMO, there's more artistic flairs and quality here than in the average From Software game.

Based on your other post in the Lies of P thread, sounds like you just have bad taste.

I liked Lies of P a hell a of a lot better than the Mercury Stream games I’ve played. After Metroid Dread and its baffling linearity, I’m done with them. No improvement from their first castlevania game that felt and sounded nothing like a castlevania game. Whereas I’m gonna try to keep an open mind about Neowiz’s next console/pc game because I see potential there.

I loved lords of shadow 1. Have very fond memories of it.

Reminded instantly of Grafted Scion. A bit obvious why they've been working on other company IPs for most of their time in the industry. They lack creativity, clearly.

Looks nice to me. The IGN dude talks about the 360 thing as if that's a negative, I say it's good. But if true about not so great enemy variety and it being 60 or so hours.......that would be a big downer.

The game looks really good and they’ve established a really strong pedigree, now. I can’t wait to see how this turns out and how I assume the next 2-D Metroid collaboration with Nintendo turns out in a few years.

I feel like they’re the new Next Level games and they’ll be acquired at some point by Nintendo.
