I don’t think any less of Gaf in general, but at this point, if I see a next generation console in the title, I just browse past those threads, because I know it’s going to be stupidity from top to bottom.

That’s the downside. Anyone who isn’t a mental midget no longer wants to participate, and said mental midgets control more and more of the discourse, with every sane person that’s left.

Even some thread creators that were constantly getting attacked by the same idiots, seemed to have called it quits, or participated less for a while.

But I reiterate that this is a community problem, and falls to us posters to fix. We’re letting this happen. Gaming side needs the kind of protectionism that Off-Topic and Politics enjoy when people try to bring in bullshit.
