Metroid Prime 4: Beyond showcase at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will allegedly “blow everything else in the direct out of the water”

If it is anything like the last Switch launch, that be quite right
This is beyond asinine. 3rd parties abandoned Nintendo because of the abysmal Wii U catastrophe. Not paying attention to the follow-up to a 150+ million system seller with over 1 billion pieces of software sold is what you're postulating 3rd parties are going to ignore. I wouldn't trust you with one plug nickel.

Subjective. Remove the rose tinted glasses and you will find Nintendo games on par with others. Its just they held to a lesser standard by critics.

I don't know a big Nintendo game that is as badly designed as Spider-Man 2, as broken and with the lack of vision of Halo Infinite, or as pretentiously shit as Ragnarök.

and this doesn't only apply to modern Nintendo games, this is applicable almost all the way back to the SNES

If it shows up in a direct I want a release date. An overview on what makes it different from the other Primes would also be a plus....and please no multiplayer component.

That's the thing with Nintendo fans, they get defensive about (objective issue) like old cheap technology by (subjective opinion treated as an absolute fact).

Dude, your whole paragraph is just your (opinion) man and can be applied to Zelda Totk .. an overrated DLC for BotW.

That's the thing with Sony fans too, because noone else calls TotK "DLC" except people who are just salty that Nintendo makes games that outsell "AAA" Sony games with a vastly higher budgets.

Always wanted to get into the Metroid series but never could. I did tried and beat Metroid Prime on the Gamecube long ago but it was never at that. Always wish they evolve and did something different like making the story more grand with Samus being able to talk with other characters in the story. I know Other M was like that but that game was a small budget side scrolling side game rather than a high budget mainline. Something like a huge budget and Other M combined with be what I'll want them to do.
There was nothing small budget about other M.

Nintendo makes plenty of objectively bad games.

Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Kirby games….

Last year only they released a ton of mid titles.

the fuck? Animal Crossing? Kirby? that's an insane thing to say. Especially Kirby. but also notice how these are super low budget filler titles, yet better than the games I listed, all of which are AAA $300+ million budget games

Pokemon is the outlier here, and sadly Nintendo doesn't have full control over the IP in this case. if they did it wouldn't be in the state it is.

No Silksong? = Delivering the pain.
Please be a return to what made Metroid great. This series has gotten too hand-holdy.

More super Metroid and prime 1, less fusion and Dread please

Dude, hold Nintendo to some higher standards. Same way you are doing with those other games.

Ok, so am supposed to look the other way cause these are low budget titles.

What about Super Mario Wonder? Dumbed down, almost cinematic title at this point. Just keep observing cool stuff.

Major downgrade in level design coming from New Super Mario Bros U.

How is Wonder almost cinematic? It has hardly any cutscenes.

Marlboro: Other M
Really puts in perspective how some were touting the first trailer to be "too good" for switch even when showed fairly average models and effects even for mobile standards.

Define everything else please? Like on Switch 2, Switch 2 launch titles? Switch titles? PS5 Pro enabled titles? Previous Metroid titles? or just games in general?

Pretty bold statement without context and setting pretty unrealisitic expectations. Most people will just be happy to have a great prime game.
Just wait two weeks.
