Can’t wait. I get a lot of Remedy/Quantum Break vibes with the gunplay and effects. Very 6th gen energy too which is awesome (which makes sense considering that’s when GTA became GTA).

Day fucking one with a bullet.

Edit: FUCK and the lead actor played Lincoln Clay in Mafia 3 👌🏼🔥😮

Well, I came

The car gameplay looks a bit rough, but the story about AI and ethics is very intriguing to me. Perhaps this will finally scratch the itch Detroit Become Human couldn't.

Bored of the “got this thing stuck in my head that might kill me” trope, played through CP2077 recently and now BG3

Seeing Leslie gave me life, especially since so many key members have left Rockstar in recent years and I really didn’t jive with RDR2, so not too hyped for gta 6.

Looks very medium budget and action-packed - by no means those are bad things. It's definitely on my radar.

Gameplay looks rough tbh, summer seems too soon but def potential here

I thought it looked fun personally.

Although there's a bit of a strange look to it. The environment and models are seriously lacking in places but there's also glossy look to it with graphics effects and the lighting.

Need to see more. The gameplay reveal was 90% shooting, 10% driving.

I wanna know what else the game offers.

I bet the character feels better to control here and the shooting feels better than it will in GTA 6.

this feels like a Roland Emmerich movie....I think I`ve gotten dumber just by watching the trailer.
They could`ve put a single caption under every single scene reading:

"Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude"

Looks like Saros, Tides of Annihilation, and this game will fully utilize the capabilities of Ps5 pro because its possible this games were built with ps5 pro in mind. I assume that because the trailers were shown running on ps5 pro. This games might be the main showcase of Ps5 pro capabilities

I'm 100% interested

I believe in The Benz!

And good on them for showing actual gameplay in their trailer instead of announcement.jpg

It's mostly the shadows failing to root the car in the scenery here so they should probably work on improving the casting accuracy to avoid this. Then there's the complete lack of tyre marks that adds to the floatyness of it and finally the actual car physics looked off to begin with. The thing slides around that corner like it's on grease and then just randomly goes to 100% grip and goes forward.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this game but when I saw that they're aiming for a summer release I got a bit worried as it clearly needs more time in the oven.

Boyos, took a look at the trailer again and...yeah, this is DEFINITELY not ready for prime-time, the junk is just too stronK, this looks like something that needs at least an extra year in the proverbial oven...

Wish they would have better shown off how the open world ties into the gameplay. Trailer felt like a mish-mash of setpiece shootouts and car chase segments.

Not sure what everyone else is seeing. Looks like a janky youtube asset flip to me. Visuals are momentarily pleasing but it looks cheap, generic and movement/animations/interaction all look awful.

This is happened in so many games. Forza Motorsport for example. It's something that most games can't do right.
Gta 4 for example hasn't this problem.

You're right, a lot of games do because you need high fidelity shadows to get the car to "sit" correctly in the environment and those are expensive to render so devs may cut corners on them to get performance back. You mention GTA 4 and I went to have a look. You know why they work in that game cause the devs are "cheating" by having the car have 2 shadows. One that is perfectly underneath it no matter where the light is coming from and then the dynamic real time shadow that moves with the sun, etc but it can be lower quality cause you have that dark blob under the car at all times. They basically hacked in an old-school PS2 era technique to compensate for the shadow precision issue. You can see it in this quick screenshot I took:

Good catch on your side though. Look at that screenshot, the rectangular shadow is under every car to help ground them.

If that's how the game is structured, cool, but at least communicate that to us instead of having us wonder if this is a GTA-type game or what.

That's exactly why most people are on the fence with this game, bc they aren't communicating what kind of game it really is.
