Really took off on PC. Rise of Steam in China likely helped a ton as it appears just over a quarter of sales came from there.

Sold more on PC than PS+Xbox combined simply means sold more than on PS. Xbox sales might has well be 0.

Also, yeah, it was blatant with the CCU of nearly 1.4M and Capcom subsequently announcing the game had sold 5M. People were coping saying it was a PS franchise when it was clear as day it had sold the most on PC.

People with common sense following sales threads wouldn't say that and even Capcom reiterated long time ago that their main platform is PC, so the results are in line with their expectations.

MH World and Rise, both had the advantage of releasing as timed exclusives when they did, that's why the console sales are higher compared to Wilds, this is something that most analysts and even users in here don't mention.

If both games were launched multiplatform day 1, PC sales would be even higher and consoles sales would be lower.

Horrible graphics, terrible performance, bad writing and an even worse story. In the end, the last thing that's saved is the combat system. Capcom is laughing its ass off while bringing a mediocre product to the public. But that's what gamers want, so that's fine.

What are you talking about?

Are you really pretending that these games didn't expand the market?
You got it the wrong way around, MH World and Elden Ring expanded the market for these types of games and it's mostly chinese gamers anyway, the western market is stagnant.

Not growing at fast as the Chinese side of things doesn’t mean the western market is stagnant. Looking at the growth of Chinese speaking language and CCU growth on Steam, you can see that while a large amount of the growth is from China, it doesn’t make up all of it.

How is this the other way around? We are talking about the exact same thing the market is expanding thanks to games that cater to developing markets.

Steam has been opening up globally for years before Palworld and MH Wilds. They are hardly the opener. Not when MH Worlds and Rise has been rather successful on Steam too.
