Monster Hunter Wilds open beta 2 impressions (Feb 7th-10th, 14th-17th)

can't say much, can't enjoy a game that produces abomination textures on a 8 GB card at 1080p/dlss quality. I hope it gets fixed at launch. or no buy from me

the reason I'm more angry than I should be is because settings preview gaslights you into thinking high textures are fine

but in game:

Don`t worry, even on 5k and ultra settings the graphics are absolute garbage, including muddy textures all around. You`re not missing out and the game is still great fun (if your system can cope with the terrible RE:Engine performance)

Graphic should never be the reason to not buy a monster hunter, they never had state of the art graphic but icsn understand the disappointment, the dream one day is for the game to look like this (the monster rendering at least).

I personally HATED how they designed some of the monsters in this movie.

For example what’s with Rathalos here?

His looks bigger than Safi in Iceborne and his head weirdly small compare to rest of his body.

I was more talking about the skin\details rendering, that movie is trash other than that :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

They made everything look ugly as fuck for no good reason.
Low res youtbue screen are not exactly good to judge microdetails, it's hard to find actual 4k pics of this movie, and capcom would do a much better job art design wise of course.

But i saw the movie in 4k, the dinos are definitely much more detailed, we are talking movie cg vs a playstation, it was never a challenge.

Seems well withing boundaries of the usual translation between comic-ified visuals and real film visuals.
The amount of detail in real film adaptions alone completely changes the look, that`s just how it is. Comic reptile skin never looks anywhere as gritty as the real stuff f.e.
The target was badass monsters, not Pokemon and for that purpose they actually did a good job with the adaption (visually and imho ofc)

Ratholes and Nerscylla doesn't look right and Meowscular Chef looks like a freak of nature similar to Sonic movie looked in original design, that has nothing to do with film visuals.

What part of them looks "badass" in the movie? even Nerscylla? Also Pokemon? because they have colors? What?

Thats not realistic, even animals in real world are very colourful.
