It’s possible that Nintendo planned the reveal originally this week, but then after the leaks, they delayed it, because they don’t want to give credibility to leakers.

Nate is very reliable but on his podcast he clearly stated that he HEARD this from his source. VGC also said it was true. He obviously thinks it's still being announced.
I think internally Nintendo is really hurt by the leaks and postponed the reveal. They're all about surprises. 2 things can be true at the same time here.
Nintendo wants to control to narrative and the narrative should never be that their stuff can leak so easily. It's not all that hard to postpone a video reveal
