My Xbox One X is my "Ninja Gaiden console", do you have a system for just one game/series?

Question is in the title. I keep my Series X around solely for Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2. I may play Conker's Live and Reloaded here and there or maybe fire up Blue Dragon, but 90% of the time, it's for Ninja Gaiden. It used to be the same for my PS4. It was from 2020-2024, my Bloodborne console. That's the only reason it was hooked to my TV until I got a PS5 Pro.

Any system that sticks around just for a single game or a series of games in your living room/office/gaming room, etc?

My PS5 has remained unsold because it plays Bloodborne and Demon's Souls.

I have some other exclusives that haven't made it to PC yet, but I could live without them. But not having a way to play those two games is a no go for me.

I only buy a system if I'm going to spend more on the games I want to play on it than on the system itself. If that doesn't happen, the purchase isn't justified.

Not anymore since I can play everything I'm interested in on PC one way or another. That aside, my Switch was for Bayonetta until they ruined the franchise (for me) with 3. I have a few other games but the entire reason I even got one was for Bayonetta.

My pc was my diablo4 pc. But after my computer broke i bought it on ps5 pro. Must say i took some time to get used to the controller but now i really like it. Sure the item menu is a bit clunky but that is a tradeoff i can take,

Yup.

I only play Final fantasy Games on PS systems since my first ff game back in 2003.

Star Ocean is another series I only play on PS systems other then that 1 time with the 360 and SO4.

I have a PS5 for GTA VI.

Not completely true I suppose. I wanted to play FFVI Rebirth instead of waiting for PC release. Until GTA VI is out it's hardly getting used. I just bought Balatro again (3rd time) so might use it more for when I am not at my PC or wanting to use my phone. The only other games I have on it are Stellar Blade and GT7. I've played like 1 hour of GT7 and not started Stellar Blade yet and don't know when I will. Might just buy it on PC if it releases on that before I get around to it.

Bought a Switch just for BOTW but there were of course loads of other games I ended up buying for it.

Im thinking of doing the same, buy a Series X just for ninja gaiden 2. Worth it?
Is it any better on Series X? I think it’s something like 1800p-2160p on X1X and a fairly stable 60. Might as well grab a used One X for cheap unless you can see other uses for the Series X.

Its just the enemy count differences between the two version, as well as some equipment (fire shuriken, windmill shuriken) that are missing from 2 Black.
I played the 360 version years ago and that shit was exhausting, but i wouldn’t mind trying it again.
Halo co-op sounds fun, same for Gears but i dunno 🤷🏻

Yes, but only because of a technicality.

If I ever want to play Risen again (the original Xbox 360 release that I own), I'll play it on my Xbox One S.

The reason?
The performance is better than on the 360, as would be expected for a BC title. However, any Xbox console above the One S runs the game too fast. It makes aiming spin around wildly from small stick inputs. The One S is the best way to play that (very janky) version.
I have no other reason to turn the S on.

Yes - my Ps5 has literally become my Lies of "P"PlayStation and Persona machine (and I guess you can add Silent Hill 2 to this pile now as well)

On original Xbox, that used to be my Tom Clancy console. I had the games on PC but I'd rebuy them on console because I liked how the box art looked together.

PC was my Star Wars system. I love having a stack of jewel cases the have Star Wars on my shelf.

My PS5 was bought for Demon's Souls and Spider-Man. I also played through Final Fantasy VII Remake on it, (subpar game), but that's all I've done with the console in totality.

Not to the extreme of OP - but yes, I'm keeping my XSX for Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden 2 OG, Panzer Dragoon Orta and several other BC titles.
Still running Wii U, but it pretty much lost one of the last true remaining exclusive game, Xenoblade X.
PS3 - still keeping for some titles like Folklore, MGS4 etc.

That comes to the point of specific "console" or "platform" exclusivity. To be honest, I don't think there's any reason to buy a console from now on as they are pretty much all now available on PC, legally.
In one way, I'm kinda relieved that I don't have to manage multiple library anymore (asides Nintendo) - At the same time - I am sad because I miss those old days of platform/console exclusivity and variety.

My PS5 has been mostly a Resident Evil machine, and I've gotten them all on great sales.

RE Directors Cut - part of PS+
RE Origins PS4 disc - $20
RE Revelaitons (misspelled on purpose) - $5
RE Revelations 2 - $5
REmake 2 - $5
REmake 3 -$5
REmake 4 Gold - $30
RE7 Good - $15
RE8 Gold - $20
Code Veronica X - $10

I didn't buy original 4, 5, or 6 because I have them on the Switch, and portable mode seems more appealing, but they are regularly on sale for $5. I guess I also got that REverse game included in a collection with Remakes 2 and 3, but I only played it once.
