Is anyone else having a problem with this game on the Series X?

My nephew has been playing it and every time he beats the game, 2 minutes into the cut-scenes we get a keep your console cool warning. Then the game crashes. Can't get the trophy for beating the game. We have never seen this before, didn't happen thru the whole game. Or any other games.
Please don't disparage achievements by confusing them with trophies.

Playing thru NGB again and it's a bit of a nailbiter with save points so far between each other. Because if you die with no rebirths, you'll be facing all that pain again.

In addition, save points don't replesnish life either and since there is no red life bar, that doesn't get refilled after each battle encounter.

So the only way to restore life is via elixirs or life of the god items. And also, the secret Silver Xbox console, if you are on that level.
The result is that each battle, even against low tier enemies becomes a must avoid getting hit at all costs situation. And god help you if get grabbed, because you can wiggle that left thumbstick all you want, but you are eating all of that damage as well.

It brings back some great and painful memories of why it was so good. It's the action souls games before the souls games became a thing, but also harder because there is no campfire to recover shit with.
Ninja exploding suriken bastards are all kinds of cancer, but I'm loving and hating them too. I'm only in the city after the hidenberg balloon so far, so I know the tears will be flowing soon.

Can't wait.
Back when gaming was actually a challenge that you needed to struggle a bit to overcome ...how i miss that in gaming

It would unfortunately be a weird mishmash of using Sigma 1 and trying to add in things from the original and taking away things from the Sigma release. Essentially what this edition of 2 Black is (using Sigma 2), because they’ve lost the code for NG1, Black, & NG2.
Sigma 1 is pretty fire though. I would definitely love to see an updated version with cutscenes that are not 240p.

Better cutscenes and and updated textures to NGB with some QoL changes. Weapon, Ninpo, item usage via D-pad like the sequels so you don't have to go into the start menu. Ability to turn off auto rebirth, custom button mapping. New Game+ so that I can use any weapon of choice from the start and of course the ability to play the waifus for the entire game, but I think it may be problematice in some areas without some rework to the waifu abilities.

Even without any of the above, it's still the best version due to the non-regen health which it wasn't designed for. I think if they added that to Black, it would really remove the tension and difficulty

Otherwise, I wouldn't touch much else.

I thought it was just me whiffing, but what he says now makes so much more sense. It also happens a lot in NG3 RE so probably code leftover from NG2 Sigma reused in both NG2 Black and NG3 RE.
Especially with the Scythe completely going in the wrong direction even in single boss fights when I clearly push towards the enemy before the button input resulting in a lot of missed punishes.

I'm playing it on a higher difficulty at the moment, and I'm playing it smoothly. I don't know why people complain about the difficulty of the video game.
