I went to a game club yesterday. To see the full awesomeness of the thing let's say I have little social life because of a history of pretty severe social anxiety.
And it was fun... and the people were nice... Pretty satisfied with myself there.
Just a little down with the games played, between some weak games and others that could have been better explained. Nothing struck as must have except one. I realize now that funnily the game part is not that important in this type of night. I missed human beings.
So...
2x Fuji Flush
1x Mysterium
1x Shadow Hunters
1x Celestia
3x The Game
- Fuji Flush was Uno but with some more subtle rules and a funky turn order. Not impressed but nice as a quick aperitive game.
- Mysterium was largely uninteresting, maybe because I played it with strangers.
- Shadow Hunters was pretty great as it was my first real hidden faction game but I evidently couldn't pull as much players outside of these nights.
- Celestia was largely uninteresting and boring, but I suspect it's because it's in fact pretty uninteresting and boring.
- The Game is a sort of cooperative solitary and it was really fun for what it is, but nothing groundbreaking when you think about it.
Now there is this other game club that takes place on two other days of the week. Will I have the courage to go out of my house ? Fuck my brain.
And then if I keep at it there is a whole world of things to do BG-wise where I live. At the end of October it seems like some associations got together to make a horror week with events at different places / cafes each days of the week.
