I really like the visual style of this game and hope to see more fluidity in the Mario characters moving forward. Now that polygon count has more or less plateaued, smoother and smarter animation is the next logical step for graphics in games like this.

That said I'm still a little worried it'll have some of the problems of previous Mario & Luigi games. Do we know who the developer of this is yet?

Hands-on media previews are live now, too. Game looks absolutely perfect. Can’t wait for 11/7. My comfy holiday game this year, for sure.

Think I might get back into M&L for the first time in a while by finally getting around to playing the 3DS Superstar Saga remake.

Nintendo won’t announce the developer, not until it comes out on release day with the credits. Reporting says it’s mainly developed by former Alphadream staff who are now at ILCA, which also recently developed One Piece Odyssey that came out back in early 2023. They also did the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remakes a few years ago, so they’re basically second-party Nintendo at this point. Wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo acquires them at some point, especially if Brothership does well.

Couldn't agree more! I love this cel shaded style, but it has looked so stiff until recently. The animations in this game bring the style to life! Other games like Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, and DragonBall Sparking Zero all seem to fluid animations.

Alexios

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Looks rad. But let's talk about alarmo for pages on end instead like it's the first non video game merchantise a company has ever done on this gaming forum, lol. Battle plugs is kind of an unfortunate name, especially when saying it really fast like in the trailer :messenger_hushed:

Really like the graphic and the animation. Hopefully the music is still Yoko Shimomura.

ILCA also helped on Ace Combat 7 and one of the main dev for Ace Combat 8. They even made a new studio: https://www.bnaces.co.jp/en/
ILCA was founded by some of the old Ace Combat (1-3) devs.
