Thanks for having me, been lurking for a long time. I love this hobby and have owned a gaming PC's and most consoles since the late 90's.
Love myself some cRPGs, tactical, strategic and mechanical-driven games. But do enjoy some more mainstream games like Doom, Gran Turismo, Dark Souls etc. from time to time.
I'm not the greatest at shitposting and memes, but I hope I'll fit in either way.

Man, this is wild. I almost don't feel like a new member seeing as how I've been lurking this forum since people like Bishop and Amirox were mods. Remembering BruceLeeRoy and his magnificent MGS4 OT. And who can forget the chaotic (and hilarious) Killzone 2 reveal thread. Kagari and the E3 meet ups out here in L.A. Good times.
I've tried registering once before back in day but I guess I didn't meet the criteria or something. So I went and joined other gaming forums (for better or worse) where I am still an active member but would always find myself coming back to lurk here.
I'm all-around gamer for most part although these days I primarily game on PS systems with some PC and Nintendo (with the kids) Work and family life has slowed my gaming considerably but I still manage get sessions in especially when I'm not pulling doubles on the job.

There are probably more here than you realize. I'm a fairly intellectual guy myself, but I decided a long time ago that engaging in intellectual discussions on a gaming forum is, for the most part, a waste of time. A gaming forum just isn't the place for it. If you try, what you generally get is a predictable mid-brow responses mixed with simplistic one-liners.
Besides, I don't come to gaming forums to have discussions about philosophy and deep questions. I come here to relax, have a few laughs, and discuss a lightweight hobby.
There are probably others who have a similar attitude - intellectually inclined, but not inclined to be intellectual on a gaming forum.
