Statistically most people find GAF via google search or by someone mentioning us elsewhere on the internet, like in news stories or Reddit or other word of mouth.

On one hand - not surprising, since this hobby is huge. On the other hand, a lot of the non-aggregated forums still around are for niche hobbies and interests and this is anything but that so thousands of people back in August and thousands today is impressive.
