DEN @ CIN - Manning is on fire.
CAR @ WAS - RG3>>>>>>>>Cam
BAL @ CLE - The Ravens defense is depleted, T-Rich runs wild.
MIA @ IND - Tough call but I'm going with the Phins.
BUF @ HOU - Blowout of the week!

MIN @ SEA - 12th man louder than Vikebike.
TB @ OAK - Freeman gains 50 pounds from his teammates going to taco bell and giving him their free tacos thus making him a sitting duck in the pocket.
PIT @ NYG - Giants Cruz to victory......I cringed while typing that.

DAL @ ATL - Falcons find ways to win, Cowboys find ways to lose. Advantage....Falcons.

PHI @ NO - If your offense is going to improve, look NO further than the worst defense in the league.

If the biggest city in the world and its surrounding areas were not around to view a football game would Alex Smiths passes still fall woefully off target? The answer must be yes.

Lost power at about 2 yesterday and not expecting to get it back for a while...just wasting precious battery on my phone to catch up. All safe though . Stuck it out at the house. Backyard is a beautiful mess but the trees somehow avoided my house and no significant water damage. Going to be a bitch to clean up though. Hope everybody else fared as well.

Bears still suck.

If only you had Russel Wilson you'd be SB locks

Edit: I'm not trolling ATL fans. But how can Matt Ryan be some sort of MVP favorite. If you had to pick the QBs you'd want leading your team in a playoff game for just this year, how far do you go before you get to him? If it goes to the best player on the team with the best record, is that even Ryan?

Tuesday yet again...

Picks:

KC @ SD

ARI @ GB - This isn't even a contest. Seriously.
DET @ JAC - Something, something, Megatron?
CHI @ TEN
DEN @ CIN - Should be a little interesting. Though Manning will likely eat the Bengals.
CAR @ WAS -Scam ain't getting no sympy from RGIII. (Or Steiner for that matter.)
BAL @ CLE
MIA @ IND - I was wrong about Miami yet again last week. Can't ever pick right with them.
BUF @ HOU - Did somebody say Blowout? No? Ok, BLOWOUT!

MIN @ SEA - VIKEBIKE RUNS OVER SEACHICKENS; More at 11.
TB @ OAK - *insert generic Freeman-Taco Bell joke here*
PIT @ NYG

DAL @ ATL - I'm sure you'll think I'm crazy for picking Dallas.
Likely scenario: Dallas beats Atlanta though luck/divine intervention/ghost of Tom Landry, redeems themselves for the week, then gets whacked by Philly after Romo gonna Romo.
Or none of that could happen, and Atlanta still goes undefeated after the Cowboys blow it in the 4th.
Upset special of the week, I'm sure.

PHI @ NO - Defense? NO has defense?

The Packers saw Steven Jackson rush for 57 yards and a touchdown against them on 12 impressive carries in Week 7. Now they have until Thursday before Week 9 to decide whether they want to acquire the Rams' star for their own backfield for the rest of the season.

ESPN reported the Packers are among multiple teams who might be interested in trading for Jackson before the NFL deadline, now extended to Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET. He would be their replacement for another aging veteran, Cedric Benson, who is on the shelf with a foot injury.

Jackson is the same age as Benson, 29, but offers a little more power. Since Benson got hurt, the Packers have been relying on second-year player Alex Green to carry the load, but Green has averaged just 2.9 yards on his 74 carries over the past four games.

This is expected to be Jackson's last year in St. Louis, given he can become an unrestricted free agent in 2013. Moving Jackson now would allow the Rams to get a draft pick in return. The Packers, however, need to decide if it's worth paying approximately $3 million of the $7 million that's owed to Jackson in 2012.

The team has won three straight with Green serving as a 20-plus touch runner and receiver out of the backfield. The 2011 third-round pick from Hawaii also makes only makes $465,000 for all of the season.

He's not the favorite. AGod should be.

I don't think people in this thread have seen much of Matt this year, but he looks different. He plays much more confidently. He's throwing outside the hashes more confidently. Koetter's letting the receivers run more than just outs and digs. We actually have a screen game for the first time in...ever. I can't remember the last time we had a competent screen game - not even in the late 90s.

The reason I like the kid is that he never tries to deflect blame. He clearly accepted the criticism for the playoff failures the last three seasons.

The pick and choose method for ranking players is silly. Brady and Manning wouldn't thrive in, say, Pittsburgh for example. The successful franchises adapt their personnel to fit their QB.

I haven't seen much of Ryan. I guess, probably unfairly, that I've seen all I want to see from them in the regular season. Remind me a lot of the late 80s early 90s Oilers.

Definitely agree on that with at least Brady. The wall that NE builds in front of him is astonishing. No doubt he is great, but besides Troy Aikman, I've never seen a QB able to stand and pat the ball like Brady. As long as he isn't getting pressure up the middle, he kills it

So I just checked the schedule and the only "prime-time" game for the Dolphins is a Thursday nighter in Week 11... against the Bills. Apologies in advance for that one, guys.

All teams get a Thursday game. A pat on the head to all the shitty franchises that no one should be forced to watch. I've noticed that they tend to go for the "big bad" and pair two crappy franchises into those games when they could

As great as RG3 has been for the #Redskins, the #Rams are set with two first-rounders this year. Would be Top 10 right now.

I see this crap all the time. If the Rams were "set", one of those picks wouldn't be in the top 10

Ive been texting my friend links to Assassin's Creed 3 reviews and saying the game sucks because its only getting 8.5s. He's a huge fanboy and he's getting flustered.

Much more fun to troll in real life.

Steelers update:

Unless there's another injury, Gilbert's not getting his starting job back. And Troy, well, I doubt he's back until a month from now. Mendenhall's cleared for light work, but I highly doubt he plays this week.

Won't be an official word on Clark, Dwyer or Woodley until later in the week.

Agreed. More so because you can actually see that person get angry in real life as opposed to imagining it through the computer screen.

I love Cromartie's comments after the game about how he didn't lose his composure. Suuuuuuuuuuuure. That Reggie stiff-punch set the tone for the game.

Yeah, it definitely set the tone but I also think its why Bush got limited PT. Philbin probably thought he was a bit too amped up out there.

Hopefully they can take care of business in Indy this week.

Im mixed on Tannehill -- I dont want them to rush him back if he's not really ready. But Matt Moore is a mixed bag, he's way too often good for some dumb interceptions, 1 fumble and a self sack.
