Their sources are just strategically feeding them bits and pieces of information for bargaining and public image purposes. I wouldn't take anything said by these "insiders" completely seriously, and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the issues they've been ranting on during their tv spots (ie Doug McLean regarding pensions) were never serious ones.Am I the only one who doesn't believe the majority of the reporters on Twitter and their "sources"? This includes the big name guys too.
fixedModern "journalism": BS on a platter.
Darche is one of the few educated hockey players so it makes sense to have at least one person with a brain there."There are 8 players in total's meetings, per the NHLPA: Campoli, Darche, Doan, A. Ference, Hainsey, Mayers, Parros & St. Louis"
I love how two scrubs who won't play again (Darche & Campoli) have been so heavily involved in this entire process.

Fuck this phrase.
Not was I was implying. Darche may just be there because he knows what more of the big words mean and can explain them to the other chuckleheads.Just because I constantly see this
Educated doesn't mean intelligent
@TheFourthPeriod
Tremendous amount of "movement", one league source just told me.

Deal in principal would be nice. Announce it so team HOPE can claim glorious victory.
Of course it is different, I don´t expect anyone to feel bad for the players. But valuing the success in the players negotiations simply by how much they get in their own pocket can be transferred over to both situations. And if you indeed value every labour dispute like that, unions will forever be doomed.its an interesting point, being raised in a capitalist culture is going to ingrain some respect/desire for great wealth that could instill some 'right wing' views.... but im sure you can see the slip when it comes to dealing with a group of millionaires playing a game to factory workers making 10$/hr to survive.
The same thing is confusing me as usual, I always have a hard time to understand what liberal means in American politics. The "liberals" I see in US politics tend to be the ones who are supporting health care for everyone etc, so I usually don´t see them an free market supporters.:S I am simply thinking that the left wing in the US is more like a European left wing.Actually pro sports are in a bit reversed in this sense. Right now you see more "right wing" people as being pro union in this matter because things like a salary cap, revenue sharing are not a "free market" and the league is more socialist for imposing these regulations and trying to spread the wealth of bigger markets.
There is however, a two way street when it comes to unions. Unions are not only to give bargaining power to workers but to help in the long term job stability if its members. A good union has to keep the company health in its negotiations to enure jobs for its members. That's why with the American auto industry the UAW's concessions were integral to company health and recovery. You cannot be an effective union when your members are laid off.

www.lockoutclock.comClearly more evidence against the PA's negotiation strategy.
Both of them have contracts for this year.Hainsey and Mayers too.
Don't bet on a season yet, man.
Bet on a season man.

Why do the Nope crowd want to win so badly?
You can tell who the true fans are I guess...
I'm partly in nope because fuck the nhlpa
No point in having a season anyway. Crosby will just win the scoring title and the Penguins will win the Cup. Forgone conclusion, people.
