It's interesting seeing a reinterpretation of NGII, but the new version lacks the atmosphere of the original. The use of color in the 2008 version is so much better. Making Sonia randomly Asian all of a sudden is kinda weird, too.
Seems there's a lot of issues with the re-release in terms of gameplay changes and the like, so I'm not sure when I'll end up playing this version of it. Kind of deflating seeing that they made it easier and that it's got the usual UE5 issues.
The OG ng2 chick needed one, she looks pale as fuck.Everyone got tans in the last 16 years
Looks can be deceiving. This looks more in tune with the original 2 than Sigma 2, gameplay-wise. Same enemy placement, same gore system and AI.
It's not. It's Sigma minus the Buddha and Statue of Liberty bosses. It also adds the gore. Everything else from Sigam remains the same so far. This looks more in tune with the original 2 than Sigma 2, gameplay-wise. Same enemy placement, same gore system and AI.
My problem with most PS360 games are the fact that it's hard to tell why literally everyone was using browns, greens, yellows, and heavy bloom. It's interesting seeing a reinterpretation of NGII, but the new version lacks the atmosphere of the original. Giggedy! The OG ng2 chick needed one, she looks pale as fuck.
It matched with the timesDidn’t remember the colors on the original looking so brown.
100% Xbox 360 EraDidn’t remember the colors on the original looking so brown.
Soul vs Soulless
...made it easier? There are harder difficulties, so just play one difficulty higher than the one you usually play? It's interesting seeing a reinterpretation of NGII, but the new version lacks the atmosphere of the original. A band-aid for a bullet wound. If you want a good version of the original NG2, you can still pick up the Master Ninja Collection on Steam and mod the games to get them closer to the old Ninja Gaiden Black days.
I played the 360 version at launch. It was rough as hell. That staircase battle completely ruined the game.A band-aid for a bullet wound.
At the time, using those colors gave the appearance of better graphics. PS3 era games aged like milk because so many games used bloom colors instead of actually investing in good art direction. Everybody was chasing the best graphics to sell their games. It was the worst era in gaming, imoMy problem with most PS360 games are the fact that it's hard to tell why literally everyone was using browns, greens, yellows, and heavy bloom.
Is because it was the best solution at the time and it matched a status quo set by trendsetters like Gears of War and Oblivion, or if honestly all of these devs around the same time span were all trying to make that set of colors and bloom a part of their artistic vision.
I find the latter harder to believe without a hard confirmation.
And with Black mod it is also ironically closer to original than this release. The price is kind of crazy when you can get the Master Collection for $10 less.

You want to know what the biggest difference is between them? Sigma and Black are Ninja Dog versions unlike original.
But is it in any conceivable way better? This part in Sigma 2 is 'harder' because the space is so much smaller. You have to abuse the i-frames to win.
I read this as "everyone got trans in the last 16 years" at first.Everyone got tans in the last 16 years
It is not Ch. 11 in this one (Ch. 14) and it's almost deserted. Check the footage about 6 hours and 15 minutes in.Reposting my question from the other thread
All I need to know whether they keep the original Chapter 11 version.....the mission is in the ninja village, and you're fighting wave and wave of suicidal zombie ninjas
In the Sigma version they toned down that mission significantly where the village was just empty, I want the original mission BACK!....has anyone got to that part yet and confirm

I had to do a double take myself when I posted the commentI read this as "everyone got trans in the last 16 years" at first.
Maybe Black mod for Master Collection version will ease your pain (on PC).damn it!!! I wish I asked this before purchasing, that mission is make or break for me, the difference is night and day.. the original is such a blast to play, sigma version is a borefest
No, same here. Sometimes it's hard to tell between you and the enemy Ninjas.I played a little bit on game pass. I never played the original but I’m having a hard time reading my character during a fight. I’m assuming it’s all the extra fidelity or color use.
Yeah man , I don't know how they see piss filter as being more "atmospheric" lmaoNinja gaiden purists are as annoying as ever ffs. Worst than the Dark souls elitists. The most insufferable fan base.
