- FF7 Rebirth looked great at launch as did many other games
- PSSR will never be "finished" that's the very nature of the thing
- Games didn't even need to use PSSR and some have not
- There was good implementation and bad implementation which goes for basically every piece of tech in gaming
- No one is twisting your words, and this is an opportunity (that you won't take) to re-evaluate the stuff you're saying
Developers are to blame for implementing PSSR, seeing how shit results are (Avatar, SH2, SWJS and few others) and still launching the patches despite that. But Sony provided them with solution that clearly wasn't trained enough and had big issues in games with more advanced Ray Tracing.
I have no idea if Switch 2 will offer DLSS in games (GPU supports it on hardware level) but it would be better to show how it looks when implementation is ready and not in half baked state.
